We spent 7 million to have an average QB. Could of rolled with Mason @ 3 million and used money elsewhere.

But, we really, needed him as another weapon, to move the chains. Mitch, seem to throw on the money to him

I guess it was Trubisky's fault that Okorafor wandered too far down field on the shovel pass. It was also his fault Johnson dropped a deep ball that Trubisky dropped right into his hands. i guess he should have told Moore and Harris not to blow their blocks on consecutive passing plays on the next drive, too.

He did, but they could have put Gentry there and allowed Freiermuth to get involved as a receiver sooner.

Mitch made more bad decisions and plays then all of those plays that you mention. I'm not asking for him to be perfect ... just adequate.

There will be mistakes in a game. The problem is we cannot overcome them with a QB that is ranked near the bottom in most passing stats. He's not even putting up adequate back-up QB numbers. When the offense is sputtering and can't get into a flow, mistakes will exacerbate. The QB is point person for the offense. All roads to success on offense flow through the QB position.

He made more positive plays, too. Those plays I mentioned killed three drives in the second half, including two of the three-and-outs, and they were beyond his control. The drop by Johnson was the real killer. Trubisky did everything right on that play. He hung in there and took a big hit from Garrett while making a perfect throw and Johnson just let it go right through his hands.

The plays I mentioned are a reminder that the OP is correct. I know people want a scapegoat, but blaming it all on Trubisky just shows a lack of understanding of what happened in the game last night.

All I will say is this....7 Qbs have more Tds than Trubisky, 17 have more yards, and Trubisky has played one more game than any of them. Also I have never seen a whole group of Wrs/TEs turn on a Qb and disrespect them so Quickly.....He commands no respect out there.

Why are You not mentioning the passes that nobody could catch, or the passes that took acrobatics to catch.
Last time I will bring it up. Because I've said it enough....7 Qbs have more Tds than Trubisky, and 17 have more yards....yet Trubisky has one whole more game played than they do. Anyway You slice that is not good.

He played poorly in the first two games. I never disputed that. He did not play poorly against the Browns.

I'm dealing with the idiotic narrative that puts the blame for the offense's failures in the second half entirely on Trubisky. It simply is not true, so I'm pointing out the drive-killing mistakes by his teammates that were beyond his control.

I have pointed out the terrible throw before the half. The one Pickens tipped that was nearly intercepted was a really bad ball, too. The one that was just short of an open Johnson was really Moore's fault for getting run over so quickly and allowing Garrett to affect the throw. Even the throw on the great catch by Pickens wasn't great, but part of that was the timing of the play being screwed up by an early snap from Cole.

Rudolph is worse. The track record of both players shows that. The Steelers know it. That is why they put so much effort into making absolutely certain that they weren't stuck with Rudolph being the guy this year or beyond.

KC picked a perfect time to get out of dodge. Is it a coincidence he left the same time as Ben? Just wondering.
