Well, we drafted Pickens in the 2nd round and watched him dominate in preseason and throw him 1 pass a game. It only makes sense that we would draft Pickett in the first round and make him ride the pine.

I don't really want to throw Kenny in this mix, but yes, a competent QB would go a long way towards solving some issues.

I'm assuming you're a young buck. Because any person who watched football 40 years ago is used to seeing Generaly all first round picks not start their entire first season.

I'm glad there's no game for another 10 days. The last 2 games have been painful to watch. 5 days ago... Steelers were 1-0. Now they are 1-2.

It will also tell the owner, "hey I'm seeing what we have to what works". But sticking with teubisky you're admitting you can't win.... and if he talks injuries they'll laugh, because no player should cause this kind of look (even if it's watt).

I like the defense. First half they did their job and then they got gassed. Look how long browns had the ball compared to us.

Pickens made a catch that was really amazing.
But Mitch just won't uncork passes to him when he should be. Pickens is the kind of WR that if the DB is beside him, he is behind him.

The Defense? I do think Austin is not all that.

The defense without Watt is actually worse than the offense. That's how bad this team is.

It's a tough call. Mitch just doesn't have it..
I saw frustration on WR's faces, that is not good.

Pickett was targeted seven times last night and caught three passes. Facts are not your friend.

The D does seem ok, but for some bizarre reason, Cleveland didn't really start running until the 2nd half.

Having said that, I think the MLBs (except for jack) and Edmunds are waaaayy below NFL average.

If pickett starts week 9 we will be fine so we can see if we need to draft another qb because we have 4-5 win season written all over this team

Mitch had easy throws, yet he would over or under throw it. I know he had some clean throws, but there was a lot of short/long balls.

They're not going to draft another QB. If that was too Happen then there should be a quick decision of mitch sucks and then use pickett and say he sucks then let rudolph in saying he sucks.

    You're right..
of course 2 of the targets, well, Pickens was somewhere near... :)
But he did throw it his way 7 times.

To be honest, I don't think this team believes in Mitch. I think he's lost the team.

    Recievers need an attitude adjustment.

Shut your mouth and catch the ball.

Even when playing behind mediocrity??? I dont think so....if Pickett isnt better then mediocre then they made a serious mistake drafting him in the first rd....especially when you think about what's coming out in next year's draft.

Hey lets look at bright side of offense. Mitch hit his over in total yards. Need something after another debacle loss to a really poor team.

How are you so sure of that when 3 of the QBs that are potentially coming out are head and shoulders better than what the Steelers currently have on staff?? Not to mention you already know Mason is not going to be back.

    "generally, all first round picks"

No - that was before free agency went rampant. Now, almost ALL first rounders play DAY 1. Almost ALL.

don't have the pre-FA luxury of sitting on players. Look at our last 20 first rounders. they almost all played right away. Not to say it was easy - some struggled, but you cannot sit and watch any longer and learn
