This week's roster moves so far:

David DeCastro has been activated to the 53-man roster.
OL John Malecki also has been added to the 53 man.
WR David Gilreath has been released.
Marcus Gilbert has been placed on IR.

does Gilreath being released mean that AB is coming back?

i hope Gilreath makes it to the PS. he looks like he has some promise.

Nope, not in the regular season anyway. I know some of his family, so I've kind of watched him. A smart hard working kid, but he'd be better off if he was a few inches taller and 25lbs heavier. I

Yeah. He used to be a DT, then switched to OL during college.

Yes, that's him. I'm glad to see him get a few NFL game checks (this week will make #2), but I suspect he won't see very many of them, before he puts his finance degree into action.

Me too. Had Leftwich not severely underthrown him when he was wide open in the Ravens game, we'd be talking about him in heroic terms and you can rest assured he wouldn't have been released.

So that answers my question about Gilbert being able to replace Adams...not going to happen. I guess the DeCastro move was so Gilbert could go on IR? Wouldn't have thought that to happen for another week or so.

So who will take Gilreath's spot? AB? Cotchery?

surprised Gilbert is that hurt...figured he would be coming back soon. and yes Gilreath will make it back...LOL...he sat on the PS all year...and he will go back without anyone noticing.

hack i read something about gilberts injury right after it happened. it said something to the fact that this injury could take a lot longer then they first thought. it is one of those injuries that could be a few weeks but if something else was also the problem with it ,it could be all season. well it sounds like his was the worst one. similar to ben. it couldn't be the quick healing one.

That, and they can't afford to lose anymore linemen if Gilbert plays.

Malecki took Gilreath's spot since he was promoted and Gilreath cut.

Thanks, I figured that out with the 53 man roster. I was referring to the group of WR's.

That stinks! But funny they cut Chris Scott (former Steeler) and claimed Gilreath. Oh well...so is life in the NFL.

Hack I just noticed your signature... Do you have the Steelers trading into the top 5? Because that's where Te'o is going.

    No kiddin'!

Hmm. Maybe they bring Jacques McClendon back in (the lineman they had on the PS earlier this season). He might be one. Someone to catch balls as the other- Jamie McCoy? He's been gone longer than usual. :lolol:

we need a tackle. we have enough guards/centers. our last tackle is starting sunday. we lost the only other tackle we had on the PS in Lee. whoever we get has to be PS eligible.

we also just got plax and cotchery practiced and AB practiced. we should be ok at receiver. we have more than when we started the season active.
