From where I sit and see it are absolute MUST win games if the Steelers are gonna have any chance to both win this division or make the playoffs as a potential wildcard team. If you take a look at everybody else’s schedule in the division the next 3-4 games the advantage clearly goes to the Steelers. And if they can get to 3-1 by beating both the Browns and Jets even if they lose the game in Buffalo after that and drop to 3-2 they still should be in 1st place come mid October. The Ravens next 3 games are at New England and at home against the Bills and Bengals. They will lose at least one maybe 2 of those games. The Bengals next 3-4 are at the Jets, Miami at home, at Baltimore and at New Orleans. I think they lose at least one maybe even 2 of those 4 games which puts them at 3 or 4 losses. And the Browns have games coming up with the Steelers, at Atlanta and at home with the Chargers and Patriots. I think they lose 3 of those 4.

So like I mentioned the Steelers have to win these next 2 games and they have to figure some things out on offense as far as either sticking with Trubisky or turning to Pickett while doing so. I think a loss to either the Browns or Jets and making the playoffs takes a huge huge hit. They have to beat both the Browns and Jets it’s as simple as that.

There is a lot of frustration being expressed by receivers on this team. It seems Trubisky just can't read the field. The offensive line was horrible at run blocking yet again but did provide him time to throw the ball. DJ was frustrated and when interviewed said he needed to do a better job of controlling showing his frustration on the field. Muth said they are ignoring the middle of the field and are not stretching the field by throwing deeper. Something is very wrong on this team. Trubisky took the blame for a lot of what happened yesterday. But the question is how does it get fixed? I'm no coach but I can tell you when a defense feels like they can stuff the line of scrimmage because the offense won't throw deep that's what they will do. It's basic. If Tomlin continues to put up with this mess then it's on him. I don't see this team beating the Browns or the Jets. Seems like life without Watt is going to be one long slide into mediocrity. How long has it been since we won a playoff game? You can almost see the DC of the other team salivating at going up against the Steelers offense. What an absolute mess. Now that the players are starting to become dissatisfied there's got to be a change. Trubisky's response was he didn't like the players saying call this play or call that play. He says you have to concentrate on doing your job. He is unable to read the field. He stares down his receivers. Refuses to throw to the middle of the field. 2 yard pass on 3rd down when you need 8? Guess I'm just tired of it. I have zero faith that Tomlin can do what's necessary to turn this ream around. Anyway you can ignore this post, I just wanted to vent my frustrations with this god awful offense.

You make great points and I don’t know how this offense gets fixed and it starts and ends with Tomlin. He is the one that hired Canada and kept him around and did nothing to have a replacement for him if Canada fails which he clearly is doing at this point. So I don’t know if bringing Kenny Pickett in is the answer if Trubisky continues to play mediocre to bad like he has done so far but at some point here you have to do something. You can’t be afraid to play Pickett just because you don’t want him to fail. He is most likely the better option at this point but that still doesn’t erase the fact that Canada is still there calling plays and doing a bad job of doing so and Tomlin is doing nothing to fix it and thinks everything is fine when it’s clearly not. So we’re gonna see here with Tomlin. He doesn’t have Ben Roethlisberger there anymore to bail him out and win games late and cover up a bad offensive coordinator like Canada like he did for so many games and so many years.

Patriots Browns Jets could be scraping for that last Wildcard.

    Schedule starts out heavy AFC.
It would be nice getting some early AFC wins for tiebreaker sakes.

Bills, Dolphins, Colts, Raiders doesn’t come any easier.

I mean they are the closest things to MUST wins you are gonna see on your schedule. Look at the next 6 games for the Steelers after the Browns and Jets games at Buffalo, Tampa at home, at Miami, at Philly, Saints at home and Bengals at home. So yea looking at that schedule you better start stacking wins early and get to 3-1 and beat both the Browns and Jets.
