Somebody wake me from that horrible dream. Are we watching the team from the 1940's all over again? This team should be absolutely embarressed and come out next week and crush the Rats. I'm sure it will be another nail biter though. If there was ever a time to Unleash Hell it would be this Sunday!

Is 8 Turnovers a record for the Steelers? I couldn't imagine how many there would have been had it been raining or snowing.

ive never seen anything like that before. it was fitting that Sanders fumbled on the last play though. it kind of put a bow on it.

Yeah, I mean we can say having Charlie and not Ben was the reason we lost...but he only accounted for what, three, of those turnovers? Clearly the Browns worked on dislodging the ball during the week. Why after at least two of the fumbles, we didnt address it, I have NO idea.

Thanks for reminding me, I had forgotten how we lost.

As far as addressing it, how does one do that? I'll bet the coaches said to the players to hold on to the darn ball.

Yeah...I dont know. I was thinking maybe like hold onto the ball with both arms?? I didnt see anyone doing that even after multiple fumbles- so either it wasnt said or they just didnt listen.

So, they are going to crush the rats with Batch and an Oline that got called for holding about 7 times, running backs by committee that fumbeled the ball away 5 times and ran the ball for a grand total of 49 yards when they did hold onto it: Somehow I dont see this mess getting straightened out in a week of non contact practice in time to crush a flea let alone a rat....

I don't think we can expect to win games playing as sloppy and undisciplined that we were yesterday. That being said, I just hope that the p*ssed off D that showed up for final 5 mins of the game yesterday shows up next week. (I know they played great all game, but there was an intensity in the final 5 mins that I haven't seen in a while from this squad)

Yeah, Batch didn't play a great game, but he was not the main reason the Steelers lost. It was just pathetic execution all around.

The only time we unleash anything is when we don't say we're going to unleash anything.

So hopefully it's time to unleash something though it'll be a guaranteed nail biter.

I have said for some time now that our RBs need to learn to have both hands on the ball (and arms around it, if possible) to help with this issue. I remember when Adrian Peterson had his fumbling issues the first year, the coach made him carry around a football everywhere he went for while. The other answer, I think, is less forcing of the run up the middle and trying to use the side routes more frequently.

I completely agree. I used to yell at the TV when FWP was playing, wishing he'd use his speed to get around the outside more often, and I'd sit there and tell my wife over and over (to her annoyance, I'm sure) how he sucked at running it up the gut and should get outside more. Then I heard and interview with FWP where he actually said he wanted to prove to everyone that he COULD run it up the gut, but he never proved it to me. It seems like it's been a problem with our RBs ever since.

Tiki Barber had a problem with fumbling early on in his career. His coach made him change the way he carried the ball, and he RARELY ever fumbled after that. Someone needs to show our guys this vid.

I read that that was the most turnovers by ANY team in 11 years, since the 2001 St. Louis Rams.

    One for the ages.
