i just don't understand the thinking of not playing this guy more. he makes a 3 yard loss on a play and they bring him to the bench. his quickness on that play was exactly why he made that play, wouldn't we want more of that type of pressure? i'm really confused by the way we use or don't use him. anything?

I think he would wear down more if we played him more. Hampton is a bigger body. Clogs the middle. But I agree he should play more especially being a Troy alum like myself. :0)

I have asked for years why don't
some players get a chance? I am tired of asking!
We need some spark both offensively and defensively
yet they refuse to put some players in?

He made a great play - when he was actually on the field. I was yelling at the TV that he should be out there way more!

the defense is not a problem right now.

i was one of the biggest complainers about the defense and Tomlin and DL's loyalty to the vets earlier in the season, but right now the defense is playing like a top ranked defense.

sure i would like to see more of McClendon and Hayward. i was also very happy with what i saw from Worilds, but the fact is this defense is playing pretty good right now.

Since when does pretty good mean that we shouldn't want things to be even better? If McClendon can get the job done better than Hampton, then get him in there. If Heyward is better than Hood, get him in there. I don't care how good we have been playing, we still have some problems with our defence, mainly lack of pressure. Perhaps Hood and McClendon could help get more pressure. We wouldn't know though because Tomlin refuses to play them.

If you're a RB and you fumble the ball, something every single RB in the league does from time to time, then you're benched the rest of the game. If you play any other position and you outright suck, no worries, your job is safe.

Mcclendon made one play based no how many snaps? We simply don't know if Mcclendon is a better option then Hampton. In this regard, we need to trust in the coaches.

im all for them getting better, but your not taking into account that the guys that are starting have a chemistry going. they know were they are supposed to be and the guy next to him. just by inserting a different and younger guy doesnt mean they will be better. in fact it might make them worse and maybe thats what the coaches are seeing in practice.

sure on occasion we are seeing both McClendon and Heyward coming in and making plays, but those are on certain downs and in certain situations. those 2 guys are the future. i would say Heyward will be replacing Keisel before he replaces Hood, but as of right now the dline is playing very good and to start tweaking it would probably hurt them more than help them.

i don't know. i saw mclendon make a tackle 3 yards in their backfield, after beating his man like a rented mule. looks to the sidelines and they take him out. i saw casey being blocked by mack all day long. casey has played a little better here as of late, but you have to get young playmakers on the field. heyward and keisel look good together. add a strong, young quick NT to the mix and what would be not to like? at least more than 3 plays a game. disruption in the backfield is a good thing remember.
