I believe teams can fine players for being late to meetings, but can they fine players for screwing up on the field? Something like:

    Fumble: $25,000
    Interception: $10,000
    Offsides: $10,000
    Personal foul: $25,000

i know payers have incentives in their contracts for reaching milestones, but it there ought to be a way to dock them for screwing up, too.

Baseball has this its called A Kangaroo Court....Im sure football teams have it as well. All monies collected goes to different charities at years end.

Lots collected today in STEELERS locker room after this game.

I have brought this up in the past, I was talking specifically
Harrison, Timmons, Woodley, Troy. and I think receivers. Set a an
attainable goal for players, if they don't reach it, guess what they don't get there
    GAZILLION dollars,fair enough?

I don't know if the team can fine a player for fumbles/penalties, etc., but I have a hard time believing that ANYONE on the Steelers offense got paid for that game yesterday. I didn't see or hear a play of it, and I knew it was ugly. I could smell it from I77 North all the way in Virginia!

Yea, that's good, but I meant "throws an interception", one that is the QBs fault, not the receiver's.

What other boneheaded mistakes should be fined, and how much? We could keep a running tally and send it to the Rooney's at season's end.

i was actually just adding that one in for the defensive side of the ball. they could have feed a small country with all the dropped interceptions the defense has had this season.
