Watt didn't just make great plays. He drew the attention of the opposing offenses away Heyward and the team's other playmakers. Highsmith was great Sunday, but he is going to have a hell of a lot harder time rushing the passer without Watt on the other side.

It’s pretty significant. With no Watt, Highsmith will become ineffective as they focus on him. No pass rush means trouble for the secondary.

Offense is going to have to show a lot more than they did last week.

I don't think the pass rush is going to disappear, but I certainly don't expect it to be as effective as it was against the Bengals. Reed is supposedly a good pass rusher. He is going to need to show it when the opposing line shifts its focus to Heyward and Highsmith and make them pay for it.

Stewart had a brilliant day throwing the football for the win that day. Wait no, he actually was horrible. 14-31, 134 yards and a pick but he did take off and run for the games only TD. That was the play when 2 Patriot defenders just stood there looking at each other waiting for the other one to push Stewart out of bounds. Neither one did and Stewart just kept running for the TD. That fluke play early in the game was the only TD either team would score that day.

Next man up. Pass rush on esge wont be as effective but dont forget we still have giys in the inside that can get the job done. Highsmith is playing a t a high level and will continue to do so. The dbs are good in coverage. Not at all worried

Ironically, Mike Vrabel at OLB was a hero for that game getting a strip fumble from Bledsoe. Bottom line is...the Steelers won. Something they can't do anymore in the playoffs.

Just goes to show how much Belichick owned Cowher and Tomlin in the playoffs from 2001-present.

Run the Bus and win....let Kordell throw and lose.

Run Lynch and win for Seahawks over Patriots....rinse and repeat.

I'd be feeling somewhat good about this one with Watt. Without him, I don't feel good about any matchup. The defense has to be damn good to win with that offense and I'm not sure how good they can really be without Watt.

Is Loudermilk injured or has he been replaced on the depth chart by Leal?

Was anyone else kinda hoping Bush might miss this one and Robinson would get a shot?

I actually don’t think Bush has been bad this year. None of it matters with this offensive dumpster fire. This is a complete **** show from top to bottom and now players are turning on Canada and Tomlin is asking for patience when we have been watching this for years.

No. As disgusted as I was with Bush all of last season and in the preseason, he actually had a decent game against the Bengals. He is the best option to pair with Jack inside.

That’s why I used ‘kinda’… Bush has been decent so far, but I’d like to see Robinson get some playing time. And he’s a more aggressive and willing hitter, which would be good against a run heavy team like the Browns.

Jordan Berry is being signed to the practice squad. Apparently Harvin is dealing with some kind of injury.

    Damn. When did that happen?

They are completely screwed if he can't play. That secondary is already shaky and the guy they signed to back him up, Kazee, is both suspended and on IR.

apparently Harvin has a hip, Dotson has an ankle, and Witherspoon is likely out

Yeah, I don’t know… Tomlin didn’t say anything about it after the Browns game. Pretty sure the only one he mentioned was Witherspoon. Hopefully the 10 days between games gives him enough time to be cleared. And yes, him being out would be a disaster.
