I will try not to be political in this thread, but with someone as wealthy as he is
why would he have to take from the welfare system in the poorest state in the union? Why didn't
he just build the volleyball court with his own money? What a scumbag.

When i heard this a few weeks ago i was going to post something. He paid it back IIRC, but it was kind of odd how it all happened.

I believe he still owes about ( 220,000) interest that is what is being reported. He is still a scumbag .Are there no ethics in business or Government anymore? Or does everybody feel they are above the law?

Same here. Let's see what charges get filed and against who. Favre knows where the money came from. Question is at what point did he become aware of that fact and what did he do about it before it came into the public light?

Should wait to know the whole story, but I came to the conclusion a few years ago that Favre is a douche because of the Jenn Sterger business. If he paid the money back except for the interest, then why in the hell didn't he cut a check for the volleyball facility out of his own account in the first place? He thought he was going to get away with something and be hailed as a hero. He's an asshat.

Yeah he was taking pictures of his private part and sending them to a female reporter half his age. This occurred while his poor wife was suffering through cancer treatments. He career should have ended like Joe Theismann's.

No charges will be filed, because the governor fired the investigator looking into it when he had the audacity to issue a subpoena.

Please note: this isn't just about Favre taking $1.1 million in speaking fees from the Mississippi welfare department for speeches he didn't give. It's about $8 million Favre arranged for his daughter's college so his daughter's volleyball team could have a "state of the art" facility. And approximately $94 million that's the welfare department spent on other favors for friends.

Who the hell is auditing these funds that it takes the theft of $94 million before someone notices? Ernest P Worrell? It's not like someone plucked a couple of quarters out of the cardboard holder for Jerry's Kids. No wonder the state is broke. Almost as bad as the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commision.

Well, just so you know who's running the state, this is what he said after the state capitol literally had no water for two weeks because the ancient system was wiped out during a storm:
