Seems like a pretty typical Tomlin and Co. pick up for the PS in an emergency. A guy with previous draft pedigree that didn't work out with his original team. Dwayne Haskins, Justin Gilbert, etc. Cant hurt. We have an obvious hole to fill while Watt is out (hopefully as short a time as possible), so they need to bring in people for the back end as the others move up the depth chart for the time being.

Maybe a 'due diligence' thing.

At one time Ryan looked promising, but just never really elevated.

 

Seems like a good value signing.

Low risk with potential upside.

 

In kind of limbo land, they have to get someone on..but until they know or decide what can be done with TJ you are on a hold. It appears he won't go on end of year IR, but return It? Until that decision is made he still is on the 53..you can't do much.

 

Not sure why they didn’t go with a tried and proven such as Taco or Quincy

 

Because we are cheap and I’m assuming they are holding out for a lineman

 

Both of them are on PS. It shouldn’t cost an arm and a leg to sign them
