    According to
    @MikeGiardi
    , the Najee Harris injury is not considered a big deal, per his sources

    :hmm:

    FWIW, The Holy Roller game was Oakland at San Diego, September 10th, 1978. Crazy it was 44 years ago almost to the day. Stabler was about to be sacked by Woody Lowe, but he fumbled the ball up field. RB Pete Banaszak appeared to try to grab it but instead batted it forward. TE Dave Casper did basically the same thing then fell on it in the endzone for the tying TD. Erroll Mann kicked the game winning extra point as time expired. The play would have been disallowed but in the opinion of referee Jerry Markbreit, there wasn't conclusive evidence that the ball had been illegally advanced. In 2008 Kenny Stabler admitted that he fumbled it forward on purpose, as did Banaszak and Casper. The irony here is that this is the same organization that has whined for years that they were jobbed in '72 by the officials over the Immaculate Reception.

    Injuries are going to happen. Anyone playing risks getting injured. Watt got injured on a rather innocuous play. With Najee, it was pure bad luck. The only ones who are guaranteed not to get injure are the ones in sweats and holding the clipboard

    I have a dilemma, can't figure out if Fitz had more of a Troy-esque day or a Woodson-esque day. Either way, he's my player of the game with rest of D a very close second. :drinks:

    Not real pleased with this win at all.
    With the defense dominating for most of the game, the offense was quite inept. Trubinski did nothing to assuage my fears that he is the answer. I really have no confidence in his ability to lead the offense. The defense was exemplary until the 4th quarter (a Tomlin tradition). This game was enough to convince me that the Steelers are not "there" yet. The defense did some dominating until the 4th qtr. Based on what I saw this afternoon, I expect and 8-8 season.

    Well, I damn near had a ship fit but being 1-0, winning a division game, and beating the defending AFC champs in what passes for a rebuilding year in Pittsburgh is a desirable outcome. Thankfully there are no points awarded for style, or the Steelers wouldn’t get any.

    Don't mention it. Really. Don't. Enjoy the W tonight and then they can get back to work on your pet peeves on Tuesday.
