We’re there any slant passes with our speedsters? I was hoping that would be a go-to play this year.

    Claypool was the leading rusher

So all you Mason haters knocking him for tying Detroit while our defense gave up 229 yards rushing, should be giving Mitch the same amount of hate for being gifted 4 turnovers and only producing 13 points.

I have been saying since the end of last season that we are all going to miss Ben far more than we think we will. So far that is a true statement. Old Ben just wasn't the same. But he was still better than half the QBs in the league.

Nope, don't miss Ben a bit. He was five years past his expiration date and I'm happy the overdue transition has begun.

Every time I hear someone remark on how nice Mitch is I am reminded of this:

Gotta have that cold blooded mentality.

No they put 9 men in close to the LOS and clogged it up daring the Steelers to go vertical and it didn't happen. They also played very disciplined ball and didn't give up their man.

    Terrible comparison.
Mitch lead a scoring drive with under 2 minutes left to win the game. Rudolph did not.

Agree. It's in the fan's minds and only a matter of time.

Fans are looking at Trubisky in a half glass empty vs half glass full mentality. It really doesn't matter how well he plays, people will always be looking for faults wanting to see Pickett start

I was terribly disappointed in Trubisky. If this ineptitude continues (I'll give him two more games)....then bench him and go the rest of the season with Pickett. He certainly would not be any worse.

Nice comparison, I believe Lions and Bengals are just a little different. Let’s see No win lions and the afc champ Bengals. Yeah very close comparison.

I still don't know why there is so much hatred for Rudolph. But, if this offense doesn't perform much better next week, they will soon turn on Mitch as well. Despite the play calling, despite the offensive line and subsequent lack of a running game.

Trubisky was 21-38 195 yards and 1TD. Not great but the key is he didn't turn the ball over, he didn't make the big mistake that would have lost the game.

It’s a terrible comparison. Mitch was able to get his team into position to score. Rudolph didn’t. And I’m not a Rudolph hater.

At least Mitch got some help from the receivers not fumbling. It would have been nice if Claypool could have come down with that one.

Even in Ben's prime he got alot of criticism, such is life in the NFL

We all knew what he was. No surprise here. Defense won this game for us.

Of course you are, any time a fan is critical of a player and doesn’t slobber his dick he is a hater.

As for the comparison, Mitch played against a team that just went to the SB and Rudolph was playing a winless Lions team. Apples to apples!

I figured the QB play would be the same or worse. What I didn’t think was the Oline would actually be worse.

Someone summed it up in the GDT, he was underwhelming. He was basically the same Mitch from Chicago.

Yea he was solid in OT and made some huge throws on that last drive to get them in FG range. But I agree aside from that and a few other times he wasn’t very good. Not saying he should be benched yet but I’m with a lot of other people on here in saying he needs to be a lot better in the coming weeks or they need to go to Pickett.

It was a given before the season started that the D would have to win the games.

MT will start Rudolph before Pickett. Kenny is the 3rd QB on the depth chart.

It’s not hard to be better than the Ben of the last two years. If Mitch can’t be better than that than they need to go to Pickett.
