The new GM sucks...we dont need linebackers. We need two to three o lineman

This new GM sucks. He really thinks this swiss cheese line gives a shot to beat anyone with a pulse than he is crazy. We cant run for half a yard on third down and give the QBS a millisecond to throw the ball so lets go and trade for a linebacker. Dumb a$$.

 

I would prob relax on this. I mean they only gave up a 6th rd pick. How badly did he actually do? You think a 6th rd pick is going to turn around this OL? Highly unlikely. I'm hoping they are going to use Mason Rudolph for trade bait to get a OL, but they may need a DB worse then a OL for depth. Even if they did get a OL for Mason Rudolph you're probably talking about a guy who got drafted 5th round at best...but that's just how poorly I think of MR play when it counts. If they get a 4th rd level OL that would be a steal so I would wait on it. I'm assuming the GM might still be working on it or maybe something might fall into their lap on waivers ‍‍??

The only other trade bait is at the WR position where's there is more depth, but those guys are pretty fragile sooooo...

Yes, they can't run the football. They also can't stop the run, hence the need for better linebackers and depth.

 

OLB and ILB are two huge needs. After Watt and highsmith(currently injured). We don’t have crap at olb.

Apparently some think watt can play roughly 1100 snaps a season

 

and 200 snaps in meaningless preseason games.

 

The hack is you thinking we will be anything but crap this year with the worst o line in the nfl. I have 20 years coaching experience loser and if you have a good o line you can run the ball and control the game and keep the defense off the field but that is too advanced for you. Instead we will be punting on every third and one like last two years and forcing the d to play a thousand snaps and wear out . Not to mention we don’t have time for our great wr to run anything but a two yards route Big Ben made famous last two years. We need three o lineman at minimum and will suck until we get them one way or another. You might want to fix worst part of team first if a gm. Yes bush sucks but not what will change our trajectory

Omar took over after the draft. Do you think other teams are salivating offering their all pro OL to us? Yes I think it's going to be a long season, but also think the foundation is being built. We knew it was going to be a work on progress.

Watt missed the equivalent of 4 games last season, and Highsmith is currently injured.

Our oline, especially the leftside, is very weak.

You needed 20 years of coaching experience to know that a good offensive line allows you to run the ball, control the game, and keep the defense off the field? I've got zero years of coaching experience and I knew that much.

Also, throwing that out there without saying what level of football is misleading at best. You could mean 20 years as a player coach in a two-team backyard pick-up league.
