I would bet you are wrong. If Ben was here he would have played his 2 series last week and none this final week.

I would guess that of the 10 Top QBs in this league only about 3 of them will be playing in games this last week of preseason if that.

I don’t think this last game is about evaluating QB play. It’s about getting the starting QB in sync with rest of O to win the season opener.

‘Steelers don’t have a top 10 QB though.

I don't disagree with You much, but ....I think Pickett is the Guy.....He can run also....difference is He sees the open Guy 1st.
I have watched that Game 6 times last week, and Some of those times Trubisky ran...He didn't have 2....some of those also were after 4 whole seconds....most Qbs only have on average about 3.5 seconds of a clean pocket. It looked like Kenny was having a better pocket...because He was getting rid of the ball faster. JMO

I watched episode 1 of Hard Knock with the Detroit Lions last night. Hope to get caught up before the game tomorrow, so I know more about some of the Detroit players.

Usually, the QB is featured heavily in these shows; but I barely saw Goff in Episode 1.

    For those in the back:

Mitch Trubisky was signed here before the draft and to me was slated to start with Rudolph as the #2.

They draft Pickett at #20 in the 1st. If they don't the top scenario is what it would be.

I understand the calls to start Pickett. Lets not forget Ben did not start until Maddox got injured. If he doesn't, maybe Ben sits the year.

I feel Trubisky is a much better QB then Maddox, and has had true NFL experience and has had success. Some act as if he is a scrub.

With this offensive and I mean OFFENSIVE line play Trubisky should be starting.

If in so he stumbles a few games I could see a possibility that Pickett will be put in for a spark. But if its one game don't expect it.

Pickett is the future! But if Trubisky is having success and winning games that's what it's all about.

That may be true, but this isn't the equivalent of what used to be the fourth preseason game for most teams. There is a week off between this game and the opener. Some teams will treat it the way they used their third game back when every team had at least four.

Brady is actually playing this week, though that is because he was absent for the first two preseason games.

Trubisky is in his first year with a new team after barely playing as a backup to Josh Allen last year. Pickett is a rookie. They both need the reps. I'm guessing they will both get snaps with the starting offense and against Detroit's No. 1 defense.

I really don't see the urgency. Kenny looked good on a very small sample of the playbook. There will likely be a time? Especially if the team is struggling under Mitch to make the change. Still.think you ride it for 3 weeks and then do it week 4 home against the Jets, after a long prep week cuz of the previous Thursday night game. Once you do it you can't turn it back. There is going to be some rookie ugliness, but that's where you grow. Jmho as Art or no other steeler front office has called me for my opinion, though for a case of brew I'd gladly give it lol

They spend a lot more time at the games than I remembered from a few years back. (Have not watched an episode in 4 or 5 years)

Should be fun to watch the next episode when they play the Steelers. :)

Tomlin getting any credit for the Defensive Play against Cincinatti, for playing his starters in week 3 of preseason?

The Defense seemed to be just a couple weeks ahead of Cincinatti's offense in game 1.
