My first buzz was on Millers 40's fishing for catfish on the Allegheny with the older neighborhood kids when I was 15. Smoking Swisher Sweets, acting badass. The next time was on Genny 12 Horse Ale in one hand, and a bottle of Riunite white in the other at a neighbor's party. Fortunately, I was not one to puke when I got loaded. I learned to just stick to beer. Whiskey and vodka wound me up too much. I once ripped the rubber bladder out of a football with my teeth when I was blitzed on Jack and Coke at a Memorial Day bonfire, lol. Ahhh, youth.

My mom's Irish but I've seen her drink maybe five times and she's 88. Never seen her tipsy. Dad liked his beer. He was funny when he was sober. He was a flat-out riot when he had a buzz going. He had a way of getting his point across when he meant business, but the man didn't have a mean bone in his body, RIP. My mom on the other hand, well, let's just say if she was mad about something she enacted a scorched earth policy. Everyone got mowed down, whether you did anything wrong or not. I learned when I was a young teen to get lost when my brother was in trouble or I'd end up as collateral damage, lol. So what do I do? Marry an Irish-Catholic girl. :roflmao:

Real world problems there. Good beer ain't cheap. Explains why I'm broke all the time. Tried my hand at brewing a few, which they were actually pretty good, but that's definitely not cheap.

I've noticed this thread started out talking about Devin Bush but ended up with everyone talking about being drunk. I think there is a connection there.

I homebrewed for years. Got pretty good at it. You certainly don't do it to save money though. It's a long and messy process and it just became not worth it. Easier to buy whatever. So many good small breweries all over the place, too.

Winner. Mad Dog 20/20 Grape here @ 14. Drank the whole thing and puked all over. I was a mess the next day. My mom believed that I was sick. My old man knew different. He gave me the "you learned a lesson, I'll let it go because you feel terrible but the next time you're in deep ****".

Yeah, when I started doing it there weren't microbrews all over the place. You're right, now you can let someone else do the heavy lifting and enjoy the benefits.

I'll have the occasional fall pumpkin but don't care much for that one. It's actually a decent price though. Like everything, beer prices are really bad right now. I used to get into some high %, special release craft stuff that cost $20+ a 4-pack. Happier nipping bourbon now.

I like cheap beers. Keystone light, Busch lite, IC light screw natural light. Learning that the cheap beers here aren’t so cheap. At thrifty’s (rite aid) in Bakersfield you could get a 30 pack for 15.99 of the above sans the IC… the thriftys here don’t sell swill. The shop n save had a 12 pack of Busch lite for 15.99 hahahaha

so I went to the Carnegie beer outlet and got a 30 of IC light for 22.99

I drink Bush Light when I am doing KETO.

FYI. Bud Light Next is NOT a beer and should not be allowed to call itself a beer. It is a Seltzer. Bought a 12 pack of that crap and 9 are still left in the fridge after a month. I can't give them away!
