He might be elite, but I hope the Steelers aren't drafting sixth in the draft.

I would hope the Steelers are not anywhere near the top 20; much less top 10!

Picking #6 would be a hell of a disaster for 2022. But if we were picking #6 I would be looking to trade down and grab an extra #2 this year or for a #1 for next year. From everything I've seen this is a rather weak class and we could probably get Skorosky at around the 20th spot. But it's still rather early and I'm sure an OL esp IOL from Bama, Georgia or Clemson will find his way into the first round. I find LG for more pressing moving forward than T anyways. Not to say T can't be upgraded by any means. And for argument sake, say we pick #6, I'd be looking at DL more than anything. But a lot will change with our roster by the end of this season, let alone FA that who know's what the needs will ultimately look like. I sure as hell wouldn't ignore DL, ILB, CB, or the OL. When looking at the DL, we could realistically be looking at something like Adams, Ogunjobi, Leal and Loudermilk for years to come. I would think with Adams + other depth guys, that's not a bad as a unit as some think. I'd still want to address it anyways. Then who knows about Robinson at ILB; this kid just might be the long term solution next to Jack.

If there's franchise T on the board they need to take him, this is supposed to be a strong QB class unlike 2022.

I'm not against taking a T. I'm just saying, as things stand today, you can get that T in the 20's very easy. Taking a T at 6 is a reach.

Not if he's a franchise LT, taking him at #6 isn't too high.

But again, why take a player at 6 when that player WILL BE available at 25? I can see taking that guy at 20 or 21, if that's your slot. But taking a guy rated in the high 20's at 6 is a reach. Trade down and get another #2 would be the proper strategy.

Because good OL usually go in the top 15.
