This is definitive based on practice games? I think Cleveland went undefeated in preseason and then 0-16 regular season.

Dobbs had his shot here and he lost. MR was the better player at that time, so was Duck. I wouldn't think a coach would be around long if he "trusted" a player to get better than he had plenty of time to demonstrate. I can see us trading MR to some other team and next preseason he is doing great. Would someone then say we should have trusted MR? Will the MR haters syndrome ever stop? The guy is doing what he can for a job, the coaches are calling the shots, and he gets booed by fans in the stands and many on this board. WFT did he do to the haters? Embarrass the organization multiple times like a former beloved QB here, get arrested for God knows what? Everything that has transpired is because people who gets paid lots of money made conscience decisions that ended up where we are. None of which are named MR. JMO>

This could have not been green font. Browns have a pretty good OL, maybe one the best.

Please with the turtles:facepalm: Where I live we have two months of turtle crossings to deal with. We actually have 5-10 minor accidents every season from people slamming on their brakes, jumping out of their car blocking traffic while we all wait for them to put on gloves and move the turtle. I dig the turtle but not enough to cause damage to others. We have a new road with a barrier in the middle and when the turtles get there they actually try climbing over it. (impossible)

Whats his body of work? A few quarters total? Not much of a shot.

Thats also his most damning mark again him, that he was never given a shot.

Rudolph was not the better player, he was the higher draft pick and Duck wasnt on the team, they picked him up after trading Dobbs for a 5th. We’ll see if Rudolph can fetch even that.

Dobbs sucked against the Raiders in 2018 and he had one epic 3rd down throw vs. Ravens the same year while Ben ended up finishing the game. Other than that... he hasn't done squat.

Both animals extremely hard to help but the ducks are next to impossible. I've seen it many of times at our lake. They are scared of you, they are scared of the cars and no matter what they follow mom.

I'm thinking your flock had no mom. That had to be funny to watch. It's sad for the ducks in our lake. After the female gets ganged on to the point of almost drowning she lays her eggs. Wife and I were there when they were coming out of the shells once. Pretty cool. Sadly within a week she is lucky if one is left. Turtles and birds like them some baby chicks.

Probably because no one is dumb enough to give up a draft pick for him.

Comparing a guy that’s been in the league for 5 years to one that hasn’t even played one half of a preseason game?

Mason is a better QB than fans want to give him credit. If Kenny does sit this year the best thing would be for Trubisky to start and if he fails, bring in Mason. Fans will probably still boo calling for Pickett, but it may be a better situation for Mason than game 1.

Dobbs couldn't even get on the field with the piss-poor Jaguars the year the Steelers traded him. The one occasion he got extensive reps in a game with the Steelers, he sucked. We have years of resume with him, so it is absolutely fair to insist that we know what he is and that a couple of strong preseason performances against backups doesn't really mean much.

Also, there is maybe one poster saying Pickett is better than Roethlisberger. I like what I've seen so far, but I'm not saying he is anything just yet, but yes, the preseason performance from a first-round rookie does mean more than that of a journeyman clipboard holder.

Wasn't Duck on the practice squad when they traded Dobbs? Of course, part of the reason they felt they could make that deal is they knew they could replace him with Hodges.

He had a body of work in practice with a team that clearly liked his ability to understand what he was seeing on the sideline, but not his performance with the ball in his hands.

Pickett is way up there with a QBR of 138.6.

But look who is nose to nose when you rank all the QBs this preseason.

    Dobbs is electric....

We screwed Josh Dobbs development up because Tomlin became infatuated with Rudolph scouting Washington. Who knew scouting one player would result in two wasted picks. Only Mike Tomlin could do that. The point is we never needed Rudolph and all his drama. Dobbs could've done whatever he did and some. Those picks should've been used on o-line and developing for the future so we currently don't have the worst o-line in the league. Tomlin lacks foresight, I've been saying this for years. Keeps wasting picks on RBs, WRs, and Maryland players.
