I agree with you on the safety. I didn't think the throw was terrible. It wasn't perfect, but it wasn't terrible. I think Freiermuth makes that catch.

    Meaningless but 2-0 sounds nice.

Bad night. I think not. Pirates are expected to lose and the Steelers won.

Rudolph marched them down the field & won the game... the fact that you & a lot of steeler "fans" can't be happy about it & just want to complain about him shows how irrational & irrelevant your assessment of the QB battle is... considering the O line, the steelers better keep all 3 Qbs ready to play...

Pathetic. 24 net rushing yards and 10 came on one Trubisky scramble. And the pass pro sucked too. I was pissed last year when the genius coaching staff decided to start a G at C who had no business playing C the whole damn season. Plus some of the worst T play we've ever seen in our lifetimes. Then, all they did to improve one of the worst OLs in the league was sign 2 mid tier FAs. Spent no draft capital and no ringers brought in during FA. It tells me they are stupid AF and now im really pissed after seeing this abortion of an OL last night. The 2 new FAs didn't do jack sh!t and the guys from last year look like they've even regressed which I didn't think was possible. I don't care who gets the QB start. Hell, even Joe Montana in his prime is going to look like a smashed azzhole behind this OL. This is the type of inept bullsh!t that makes people dislike our HC and want him gone. And before anyone says, but but but, Tomlin doesn't coach the OL... wah wah wah. But he does hire the coaching staff and he is responsible for the product of the field. I'm tired of this dumb sh!t. This isn’t brian surgery. Rant over.

I would try an trade Claypool and Bush ( I don't what you'd get for him, he looked pathetic again ) for the best possible OL you can get!

I cannot believe how many people still think mason has the goods to be the starting QB. 5th year in the league and still looks like a complete goofball against the 3rd team jags

I know this won't happen but I wouldn't mind throwing Pickett out there as starter for the season. I just can't see Trub or Mason being anything special but Pickett has shown some signs that he could be our leader for years to come. Should we start bad I hope Tomlin uses rest of season as a learning season for kenny.

Without Mike Munchak the line will suck no matter what. Tomlin needs to hire a quality oline coach. Assuming he knows what a good coach looks like.

What did Munchak do with Denver? When Munchak was with the Steelers he had all those guys in their prime, I don't think he would make much difference with the talent they had the last two seasons.

Mitch played as advertised unfortunately not up to expectations. He played just as Mason did last year shaking off cobwebs and hopefully no injuries. Fans were running Mason out of town for doing what was asked. Trubisky does the exact same thing last night and fans are praising him. SMDH

Good point. Munchak was smart enough to move on before those guys aged out of their prime and let his legend live.

Two out of the 3 times He took off running ....He had a guy open 2 throw 2 , but ran around instead. Replay shows it all.

Twice he ran just 2 run. Replay show twice He had a wide-open guy before He even took off, but He was busy looking at the rush. Go look.

    This ...
Mitch threw behind the line of scrimmage twice in his whole 5 completions...nobody said a word. First time Mason throws behind the line of scrimmage in the game....the whole board lights up with ....why won't He throw past the line of scrimmage.....
That tells You all You need 2 know.

Someone else pointed that out. I was still in the car trying to hear what was happening on the radio and I misheard the distance of the FG try. That makes me feel better about Boswell who also looked shaky on the XP attempt.

On Paul Zeise's post game show a caller was complaining about Rudolph and Zeise told him that Mason played a really good game and besides that he won't even be on the team this time next week.
