Yes, despite being mobile, Young learned to read the field. That makes your initial point even worse, not better.

I think you are having a comprehension issue. Running too much is a bad thing. Mobility, however, is an asset. As you helped point out with Young, a mobile quarterback can learn to read defenses. I'm not sure why that concept is so difficult for you.

all that was said was he was the best so far in camp. i for one am not tying myself in knots over anything. there are way more important things in my life than worrying about what your opinion of a player is. that's all it is too, your opinion just like it's mine or whomever else's on here. the coaches will sort it out. that's what they get paid to do. they really don't care what he did two or three years ago.

Again, Peyton wasn’t following a HOF QB. Which is exactly why you cannot compare their career progression by their age. You are too blinded by your hatred to see this with another lense. If the Steelers win the first game against the Bengals with our defense and Mitch going 13/25 for a 150 yds, you will probably still claim Trubisky dominated.

Next QB wasn’t taken till round 3. Nobody was taking Kenny Picket in RD 1. Are you dense? If Kenny Pickett wins a SB I’ll buy you a beer tool.

I don't believe that any Steeler Fan hates Rudolph, the realists understand he is NOT a full time starter. He's just a back up to come in to hopefully win you some games if the starter is injured. That's it. Stats mean little to the body of work.

i think what he did previously goes out the window since we don't have to play ben's system. you say stats don't mean anything but still go by past performance. this all could look quite different to what it looked like in 2019, 2020 under fitchner and 2021 under canada's ben system. we have added many weapons around what was. this whole offense is a wait and see. mitch also will look different then he did in chicago. i don't think the coaches even know how this will go down at this point.

That gave me a hearty laugh. If STD stopped hitting the like button I'm convinced the earth rotates off its axis.

Hatred of Mason? To be honest, I haven’t given Mason enough thought to hate him. But if thinking that any comparison between him and Peyton is ridiculous makes me a Mason hater, so be it.

This...I was watching a vid yesterday that stated this was the first year of implementing this system, the caveat of what he saw on camp though was it was a lot of stuff done in college.

The Steelers play on Christmas Eve, Rudolph could save the day. But if he’s the backup that late in the season, it won’t speak well for Picketts NFL readiness.

I remember how Ben got his start. No one wants injuries but things sometimes work out even though it doesn't seem like it will at the time.

Again, you have no clue but are calling me names like you have a crystal ball. Again, blow hards blowhard. Sorry to hear you'll be watching Pickett play with an upside down smile. Maybe go cheer for another team.

No one is going to do anything until we get the line straightened out. We'll get a chance to see where they are tonight. Lots of hopes and optimism will be either confirmed, or, piled on the wishful thinking and what's next heap. Here is hoping all do well and no one gets banged up too bad. This 1st preseason game is the first-time shots are going down range this season for real, so they better be ready. JMO>

A newly drafted QB should start his rookie year and be given his 3 to 4 year contract window to lead the team. They screwed up Rudolph's career by drafting him but not letting him have his window. They should fix it and play Pickett, give him his window.

That is more political garbage along the lines: they made commitments to Trubisky, or Big Ben, and we will see how it goes, the backup will get his chance. No! Pickett should start. If he fails like Trubisky did in Chicago, or Darnold or Rosen, and so on, so be it.

I think most rookie QBs should redshirt their rookie year.
