Damn, this is not even a close competition for the #1 spot.

Can some math person put a QBR on this?

The problem is that this team (or any team for that matter) isn't going ANYWHERE with Rudolph or Trubisky behind center. NOWHERE. Praying Pickett blossoms.

I agree, but We still got time 2 see what's what.
I just hope they go with whoever is playing the best(even if that's the 4th Guy), and don't just anoint someone like they did at center last year.

I agree, but maybe my memory is playing tricks on me; I remember JC was listed as the Steelers starting center when camp began, and then was injured during training camp allowing Green to take over the starting job.

EDIT: Injury to Steelers J.C. Hassenauer opens door for Kendrick Green (usatoday.com)

I never get into this kind of breakdowns due to they're playing with different players and against a different defense.

I'd say a good season for Picket this year would be 65 to 70% completion for about 2700 to 3000 yards and 18-20 TD's and keep the INT's around 10 or less.

14 TDs-1 interception. Does that say more about the offense or the defense only getting one pick? Can't wait to see them under game conditions.

My gut says the Tomlin way of doing things is he has to let Rudolph start the first regular season game. At least the first two IMO.

By the way these numbers are courtesy of Steelers Depot. The stats I listed above are actually from the last 4 practices. Here are the total camp numbers for all of of so far.

    Rudolph 52/77 67.5% 449 yds 11 tds 0 ints

    Trubisky 45/80 56.3% 356 yds 7 tds 4 ints

    Pickett 38/61 62.3% 225 yds 4 tds 2 ints

Korza listed stats from practices 5-8 at the beginning of the article and then total camp at the end. I didn't realize until I went back and re-read. Link below.

I think the big takeaway is the big jump Pickett made in the 2nd week. Rudolph is the most consistent, and Mitch is improving in his own right. I'd like to see Pickett start pushing the ball down the field more. That will likely decrease is passing accuracy some. But at the moment it looks like he's more or less dumping the ball off and being a game manager. And also to note, Saturday was Pickett's best day of practice, but since it was closed to the public/media who know's what practice #9 looks like. Pickett is progressing better than people on Twitter and such want to admit. Seems like they just jumped on his miserable first week and hasn't let that go.

But Ben was much better in his rookie year that last year.In his rookie year Ben had 8.9 yards per pass attempts(only Peyton Manning was better in 2004) and last year Ben was at only 6.2 yards per pass attempts, one of the worst in the NFL

YPA is a very underrated stats

The defense have dropped 2-3 interceptions on Rudolph at least in the first 2 week according to the tweets I've seen.

I also don't put much in "stats at practice."
The issue is that sometimes they are throwing to a designated receiver, regardless.
Other times they are flinging it out there to see if the receiver can make the play, regardless.
    etc.

Mostly I pay attention to the passing drills, looking at ball placement, timing etc..
By the same token though, you don't want the QB leaving divots on the turf.

It tells me the Steelers are throwing short, safe passes. Maybe it wasn't just Ben. Maybe that is the Matt Canada "system".
