We had very good D and running games for many of the Kordell/Bus years

You are comparing Mason Rudolph to Jerome Bettis and Troy Polamalu, HOF legends. I'm rooting for Rudolph and hope he does well.. but he hasn't accomplished jack squat.

Oh please. Bettis was great out of the box in '96 replacing Morris. Troy had a rough rookie year in '03, but LeBeau molded him into greatness. Rudolph's situation does not relate at all. WTH?

LOL... Sounds Like Tomlin has his thumb on the scale for the QB battle.

Turning a 3rd and 6 where they only picked up 2 yards into a 1st and 10; allowing Mitch to finally put the ball into the end Zone rather than come up short again.

Yep. Potentially better center, Green moved to better position for him. Also, let Tray Turnstile walk, which was addition by subtraction. More changes to come? Stay tuned.

That's the first I heard of this as well. Last I heard Mason was doing 3rd team reps when Kenny was doing 2nd team reps.

    Are you kidding me?!

I hope he is not serious. This is what the offense was in the last 3 years.Like a 4 yards gain on a 3rd and 6 or longer and short for a first down and the steelers have to punt!....He is stupid if he serious on it

Well, maybe, it wasn't Ben after all. And, it was, more of the play calling. But, I tell you what, these preseason games will expose these qb's either way.

In a rain storm it sounds like Pickett put together hid best day today. Couple days this week people said on that specific day it was his best. Definitely a much better week than last week.

I really think he will do well over time and our next Franchise QB. He's not mechanical and has all the tools. Just needs lots of reps.

I think for both he and Trubisky it could be a simple case of becoming increasingly familiar with the offense. As has been mentioned several times before, Rudolph already has that familiarity so it makes sense that he got the proverbial jump on his competitors.

And honestly, I think that has already happened. Past two or three days either Kenny, Trubinsky or both have been rated better than Mason.
