For one drew wasn’t pedestrian. He was a 3x first team all pro and also led the nfl in yards. He had Ana regiment as the best receiver in the mid 70s. Also was all decade. And it took him 30 years(engaging in hyperbole as someone will take that literally here) to get in.

because qb isn’t a position that requires physical skills and gifts to be successful. It’s the least athletically inclined position other than kicker and punter. That’s why Brady is still good at 45. There’s no way in hell a wr would be playing at 45 as well as he did or arguably better at 25.

there is a right or wrong. That’s why one in his prime was recognized as the best in the game and the other at best was maybe the 5th best WR in the nfl and idk if he was even that. He wasn’t ever better than moss, T.O, fitz, Marvin, or Andre Johnson. Then you have ocho, Reggie Wayne, boldin , Steve smith, Tory holt, Isaac Bruce, etc.. who you can all argue was better than Hines ward.

Yea me thinks the one who called him.pedestrian is letting bias rule his brain lol. I think part of the issue with him, like Donny Shell taking so long to get in was politics and schematics. How many Steelers and boys from that generation already are in..and still leaving LC put, just mho.

I think for a HOFer, Pearson was VERY pedestrian compared to Ward. Pearson never left the game as the "best" at anything, and HW was the best blocking WR in NFL history.

Ward had 85 TD's, Pearson had 48. Ward had over 12000 receiving yds, Pearson had 7822. Ward had 1000 receptions, Pearson had 489. Ward had 6 1000 rec. yard seasons, Pearson had 2. Ward had 2 SB wins, Pearson had 1. Ward had MANY scrub QB's before Ben throwing him the ball over the years, Pearson had premium QB's for most of his career.

Again, no way in HELL Pearson deserved in before Ward...it was a farce vote to smooch Cowboy a$$, nothing more. F*** DallASS...
