Never a big deal when a 300 pound person stomps on your foot

A few months ago at work I was grabbing a wood pallet of the stacks we had and didn't pay enough attention to what I was doing. It got hung up and had to lift it a bit more. When the board that was broken and causing the issue gave way it came down fast and slammed onto my foot. I hobbled for about an hour and then adrenaline kicked in and the throbbing in my right big toe went away. Wasn't until I got home and looked that I discovered it broke some blood vessels under the toe nail from the nail bed to the front of the toe and down towards the bottom of my foot. So now I'm waiting for the nail to fall off and most Healthcare sites say it's not a big deal but will hurt like hell until the nail grows back in a year to 18 months. Not looking forward to that.

First thing to do is to heat a needle with a lighter and easily poke a hole in the nail to release the pressure. You’ll be glade you did. I did a similar thing about 2 months ago with one of my fingers and the new nail has already grown back.

    I have one question

Also I hope the toe heals quickly, and painlessly.

Our product distribution center in the new addition houses every kind of electronic component you can possibly imagine. Most weigh less than a pound and some are so tiny for surface mount circuit boards that they come in tape and reel like old movie film. Typically we aren't required to wear steel toe because in packaging most items can't hurt you. In my case while I do package larger quantities with more weight it's not an every day thing. So 15 years of complacency conspired against me and I'm paying the price.

Twitter Blows as does most social media. Tic Toc, Twitter, Fakebook, Instagarbage. Really is a down trodden on society to a concerning degree. People need to get out more and off their phones so much. So many people instantly getting their panties in a wad over the slightest little things.

People with comments like this are out of touch, when I'm at work I can check Twitter to find out the breaking news in sports, so social media doesn't blow .

OK. It can be useful sometimes but so many people are absolutely consumed by social media. It's always fun when I go out to dinner and I see an entire family or a group of friends that are all just staring into their cell phones the entire time. Happens more often than not. Dad's checking sports, Mom's looking at Facebook, Little Jake is on Tik Toc and Little Cynthia is on Instagram the entire time. Then you get the dumbasses who perform criminal activity and put it out there for a try at 15 minutes of fame.

I can check NFL Network, ESPN, etc... without Twitter, Facebook, social media, etc. Social media is a cancer to modern society.
