I finally finished Dark Winds.

I thought it was great. Glad it was a short story that didn’t get milked for decades

 

I'm watching Night Sky on Amazon right now. Really like Sissy Spacek and J.K. Simmons. He's the guy on the insurance commercial. Really two good actors. Not sure how much I could recommend it but it's only one season so I'm going to see it through. I will watch Dark Winds though. It gets amazing reviews

 

My Favorite movies with J. K. Simmons are...2000 The Gift, and 2014 Whiplash.

Really liked it. Thought the Sheriff (Zahn McClanon) did a great job acting in this one showing lots of compassion yet toughness versus a tribal policeman with a sour disposition (like in Longmire). He's a really good actor I think. Wasn't he also in one season of the FX Fargo series?

 

I also thought He did an excellent job of acting .
I've never watched the Fargo series....just the original movie.

 

Night Sky. Very confused on the "Atmosphere" ending.


Speaking of Prime. Just started SIN LIMITES Aka Boundless for the English speaking. The story of Ferdinand Magellan. I don't mind the "Dubbing" and hopefully I will get better at telling the actors apart after a few more episodes. The lighting is a little dark for me, but that probably cuts down on cost.

I'm thinking Strummer's ribbing you about not catching the Fargo series on TV?

 

Oh....LoL....I didn't watch because I don't have streaming service, and by the time I even knew it was a show I was behind by a 4, or 5 episodes.

 

I think they had 4 seasons of Fargo on FX. Most were pretty good - especially Season 1 with Billie Bob Thornton.

 

You haven’t watched the Fargo series. It’s an anthology series so each season is a new story with new characters etc. it’s worth watching. For the love of god please tell me you’ve watched at least season one of True Detective

 

LoL. No....I don't have any streaming services....So if I don't catch something right away ....well....I get left behind.
Going 2 start Old Man tonight. I have all those on the DVR .
Also if I knew that about Fargo....I would have watched.

 

True detective is probably available on demand

 

I honestly never heard of it ...until You brought it up.

 

He was in the second season which I really liked. He played a Nam vet who got his revenge on everybody.

 

First season of True Detective was AMAZING!!!! Woody Harrelson and Matthew Mcconaughey did an incredible job and the story line kept you hoping Sunday's would hurry up and come. Each season was a different story line with different actors. Season 2 absolutely suck balls!!!! Season 3 was OK.

If you don't get HBO you can't watch it.

 

Bummer for you. Fargo first three seasons were awesome. Can only watch on Hulu now. Some food for thought if you are interested. I buy a Hulu gift card for 25 dollars once in awhile. Then I watch Fargo again. Also am one of 500,000 people who loved an FX show called Mr. Inbetween. Had 3 seasons, out of the land down under. I re-watch that on Hulu too. 25 dollars will get you a couple months.
