Baltimore has a lot of question marks, no proven WR both RBs coming back from injury, their LT Stanley has been injured the last two years.

 

Agreed. Baltimore traded their best and only #1 WR before the draft and then did absolutely nothing to replace him in the draft; they did draft 2 TEs for some crazy reason.

I guess they could try to trade for Metcalf or Samuels from the NFC; I am assuming the Steelers would say "Hell NO" to a DJ trade offer.

 

We got a good defense. We have have good wideouts. Playoffs seem likely? Super bowl no. But wild card berth? Why not

 

Sure, with free agency most teams have wholes somewhere. Maybe the ravens don’t make it and the raiders slip in? Point being, Steelers don’t have the goods as things stand now…but that’s why they play the games. But if I were betting money, I’d play the ravens before our Steelers. While the ravens have question marks they have a former MVP QB…who is a problem when healthy (like him or not). The Steelers have gaping wholes…not just question marks. QB, every position on the o line, WR behind Johnson. Pretty much the entire offense.

Indeed, Lamar may suck. But you do realize the Steelers don’t exactly have a HoFer (even an aging, washed up one) anymore.

If Lamar sucks, explain to me how the 2022 Stillers QB doesn’t. The Steelers will have the worst QB in every AFCN game this yr, except when Jacoby Brissett plays for Cle.

 

Just saying. The afc is a blood bath this yr.

Maybe....Just Maybe You are correct....I haven't seen any of them play yet for the Steelers......,but that doesn't change that L. Jackson sucks.

 

Based on 2021 we have an OK defense and we have a no clue what the WR situation will be.

Last year we were average on D in terms of yds allowed and yds per play. We were dead last against the run in terms of yds/attempt and dead last in penalties committed. I guess we'll be better this year, but I'm not sure we did enough to be really "good". As for the WR's, if Claypool of 2020 shows up and one of the rookies lives up to expectations then OK, but honestly who knows?

With all that being said, we somehow managed to make the playoffs last year. IMO, it'll be something similar this year. We'll be fighting for the final WC spot again

Jackson hasn't looked all that great since that MVP season, he also only has one win against the Steelers.

 

He’s only played them 3 times as a starting QB. So he’s 1-2 vs them, and one of those losses was the missed 2pt conversion last yr. Don’t know thats enough to say that Steelers “have his number”.
