Duce Staley in sweats lining up behind Ben would have truly been flipping the script

I sure hope our next QB can suck enough for 13 wins and 2 SBs

Or maybe even better if he puts his full effort into it

Apparently, you seem to forget that throughout Ben's tenure the offense with him was 100 times better than the offense without him.... There goes your individual accolade defense.... Thank you, come again

The offense is better with the starter? Holy crap when did they discover this earth shattering tidbit?

Here's my take. Ben's is a first ballot HOF generally speaking. In the postseason he was was an average HOF QB. His numbers are on par with peyton manning (about 1% QB rating point behind Peyton and better than Eli). Rodgers performance is the cream of the crop...with a 100 QB rating and Brady somewhere around 90 QBR (but he's obviously the GOAT).

Brees is around 90 QBR but played 5 fewer post season games...with an "offensive guru coach?"

Ben's post season numbers actually look a lot like Brett Favre...with one more super bowl win.

My point...he played pretty comparably to the best of the best of his era, and has as many super bowl wins to show as anyone not named Brady during his era. Did he win as many as many playoff games as he could've...probably not (Denver and Jax are two that still burn). But either did Manning, Brees, Wilson etc...anyone not named Brady. We'll be lucky if we see QB play the next 15 years that delivers half of what Ben delivered in his 18.

I agree that catch was amazing. As for the throw, even Ben admitted he thought he just lost the game on that one. However, it goes both ways. If intercepted it goes down as one of the worst throws to end the game and blah, blah, blah,... Ben should have known better. Instead, it was a perfect throw that Ben placed where only his receiver could get to it. Ben could have easily been MVP on that drive with that pass. Now if you look back at the film I believe it more or less went through the defenders' flailing arms trying to block it.

Compared to Bradshaw...in the post season. Roethlisberger sucked. End of discussion.

Yeah that's why He had more TDs, and less turnovers.
    Make that Make sense.
I don't understand Why people can't like them both, and not take shots at one , or the other.

comparing eras is pointless and doesn’t add to any real discussion. You cloud say Bradshaw won 4 rings. Anyone else could say yeah…but ben won 2 and owns every team passing record. Then you’d say but ben had defensive help to win 2 rings. And anyone could say Bradshaw had arguably the best defense ever…without free agency. Point being, there’s too many variables between eras. I think we should appreciate what Ben delivered. We didn’t see anything close since Bradshaw. And likely won’t for a significant period post Ben either. Hell, you can’t even compare todays QBs to when Ben came into the league…it’s a totally different NFL.

One last point…how many HOF players were on Bradshaws offense? Right now Ben had one HOF lineman…Faneca. And the Bus…but that was a shell of the Bus…not the HOF version.

Hines Ward. Alan Faneca, Jerome Bettis and even Ward's enemies Lewis and Reed are gonna make sure he gets into HOF!

Rod Woodson will have a say too.

Bradshaw also had the Steel Curtain defense to bail him out sometimes, he had three ints in a Super Bowl IIRC but they still won the game.

The jags game if I’m remembering correctly was a defensive meltdown. And the Browns game… Ben was done. He had nothing left in the tank.
