Much has been made about the talent that is on the oline. I would love your guys' finer points on the subject. However the bigger question I think, what about Pat?!

Pat Meyer is the new guy coming in after relatively massive turnover last year ( online coach and asst coach).
I don't read a "pedigree" of good coaching. I read things like, Trent Scott singed from the Meyer system. Trent Scott was rated like bottom 5 of 90 guards ( or there abouts).
    That's not good!

I get depth, i get system guy, but does anyone have info on success following this guy around? As in, he was hired and turned an online around. Maybe he "had a great running game." Or he is "a real teacher and guys understand."

I'm worried system fit but also ability. Can this guy get it?

Meyer has to be better than Klemm was as OL coach.

Pat Myer is a positional coach who will focus on technique.
Together, he will mesh with Matt Canada's offensive scheme and figure out ways to block for it (Zone, etc....)
Each week, based on the opponent, they will adjust game plans.

Myer got a tough break in Carolina; they went through a lot of injuries as that team is messed up.

Myer's best work was in SD. Those were some good offensive lines, with not so outstanding players.
The schemes were pretty solid for the most part and executed (the biggest point) well.
Note: He did have Pouncy's brother and Russell Okung who wasn't the same but flourished in that system.
He had a couple other stops, but I forget where and too lazy to look it up this morning.

I think he's a good hire and has a good career trajectory, and is a good fit.
He's no Joe Bugel or Howard Mudd but I think worth a "We'll see"

What RB was it during those years?
That was still P Rivers so maybe we'll be alright in pass pro. I'm curious on the run though.

    Charger years

    Melvin Gordon 3.8 5.1 3.9 ( if read right)

Ekler was in there too but the same avg yards per carry.

Is this good or are we looking at trajectory of career?

Klemm talked a good game and couldn't back it up, and he quit in the middle of the season, it won't be hard for Meyer to be an improvement.

So on a scale of klemm to munchack we're hoping for meyer-cle?
You're just saying it can't be worse, yes?

    200%

As the cards we Steelers west are we Chicago east?

Having lived in both I feel this may be accurate though.

    In the players sense guys!

Here's an interesting read on the Nagy-Trubisky relationship.

    https://sportsnaut.com/matt-nagy-mitch-trubisky-relationship-bears/

I'm good with Trubisky... oh wait, we have Canada. I think Trubisky will be better than he was in Chicago. That makes the Steelers competitive. If Pickett even better than that, the Steelers are in good shape.

are you trying to hurt me?
Is the AFC north just the same as the NFC north?
Jk but seriously has no one else noticed it or has it just not been talked about.

Really though what means oline improvement for you?

Middle pack for rushing and sacks?

    Best ypc?
    Least QB hurries?

    How can we measure this?
Only "better" I would say that's relative to scrip and injuries.

We will only go as far as these guys can take us. The OL has to be
the most improved position for the Steelers to meet their goals of making it to playoffs.

not really a big deal. wallace and trubisky were actually with the bills prior to here. ogunjobi was from the bengals. avery from philly. jack from jacksonville. boykin from the ravens. olszewski from new england. kazee the cowboys. now a lot of those guys were with NFC teams.
