When I first saw this, I was like that can't be right, but Bradshaw is their only winner 1978.

Just proves that winning Super Bowls is all about team effort and not just one individual.

AB should have won the award at least once. The whole "WR's can't be MVP" argument is just stupid.

Dude I like You a lot, but it is not stupid....unless that Wr played with multiple Qbs that year, and did the very same with them.
I don't see How people can even argue this. Especially a Wr that has never caught a TD from any other Qb on this team (while playing with 6 different ones), and only had one ....100 yard game without His starting Qb.

Wide receivers on average are really involved about 7 plays a game

    Not MVP worthy

Altjough Ward found a way to be involved on just about every play

If TJ Watt continues to get better than he already is I could see one in his future.

The feeling is mutual. But we will agree to disagree on this one. AB was a game changer.

In 2014 AB had 129 catches for 1698 yards and 13 TDs He followed that up with 136 catches for 1834 and 10 TDs in 2015.

    THESE STATS ARE SUPER HUMAN!

AB should have won the award one of these two years. He was deserving of winning it both years.

If only a QB can be MVP, then just call the award QB of the year. There was no better player in football in 14' - 15' than Antonio Brown.

didn’t Rogers throw for something like 4400 yards and 40 touchdowns that year? Then Newton had like 50 touchdowns the following year. AB had great years, but not league mvp years.

And Ben threw for 4900+ yards and 32 TDs that year. It is a passing league. Good QBs are going to put up monster numbers. 1800 yards for a reciever is far more impressive than 4400 for a QB.

Aaron Rodgers puts up similar numbers year in, and year out. If sportswriters want to be that lazy, just give him the trophy every year and be done with it.

what do Ben’s numbers have to do with AB’s season being mvp worthy or not?

Pointing out that Aaron Rodgers 4400 yards and 40 TDs does not necessarily make him MVP worthy. Ben had more yards and almost as many TDs and wasn't even in the discussion.

You brought up Cam Newton. It is hard to argue that he was worthy the year he won the award. His numbers passing and rushing were insane.

It was Bradshaw. Nobody in the national media would ever give Ben any credit.

I always thought it unfair more Centres weren’t MVPs. In terms of involvement in every play, at least.

I stop caring about the season MVP, if I really cared at all, when Brett Farve admitted he was addicted to pain killers and alcohol and was still made MVP and league poster boy. Startling reality when you realize the award is more a popularity contest that a play based merit system.

That same Year Ben Had 4952 yards....32 tds, and only 9 ints.....so You think a Guy that had way less yards, way less tds, and was on the same team should win it over that....over the same Guy who threw Him the ball???
I'm not saying it should Be a Qb award, but unless that Qbs TDs are all 2 the same Wr....I don't see how a Wr could win it over a Qb with almost 3 times as many TDs, and Yards.....Make that Make sense.
Also I don't think D players get enough love for the MVP IMO.
Please don't take all this wrong .
    Just a friendly debate.....
    That I win.:lolol:

Which year did Bradshaw win the league MVP? It had to be either '78 or '79.

    78. Swann had 61 catches, 11 tds, and a rushing td....while Terry only had 28 tds.....I guess someone thinks Swann should have won the MVP instead.
He did have more of Bradshaw Tds,and yards then AB had of Ben's.
