Out on a lake all weekend fishing. Happens to be near where the University Of Iowa is. You can bet there was some decent scenery.

His wife I’m not worried about him

Now regarding my wife I was sitting on a beach in the Caribbean and apparently obviously staring at chicks in bikinis

My wife caught me and was cool

She said it was alright to read the menu but you can’t order anything to eat

I said how about an appetizer or cup of soup

I was promptly whacked on the back of the head

How close is this to what DJ should be expecting?

3 year extension, $28 million Bonus for up to $71 million. This would make it $18.75 million per year for the next 4 years if you include his 2022 salary.

    https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-washin...terry-mclaurin-to-a-3-year-contract-extension
Terry McLaurin is staying in Washington.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Washington Commanders have signed McLaurin to a three-year extension worth up to $71 million in new money that will keep the star receiver in the nation's capital until at least 2025.

The fourth-year pro was entering the final year of his rookie contract, which was set to pay him a base salary of $2,790,000. Now, he gets a considerable pay raise — his deal includes a $28 million signing bonus, the largest given to any wide receiver, and also comes with 76.4% of the new money guaranteed.

    As I have said before.
I hope They wait, and see who our new Qbs favorite targets are. If it's Him fine....Then pay Him, but it may not be.

TJ Watt showed everyone last year how to do a "Team Friendly" holdout when you are still under contract.

I am expecting the same from DJ during Camp and Preseason until he gets his new contract.

    STD, who you talking about?

Would this be the QB who starts week 1 or the QB who plays in week 17? Mitch, Kenny, or even Mason all have a chance at being that New Franchise QB.

I don't expect DJ to do what TJ did, he's doesn't have that same leverage.

If he sits until January he would still owe the Steelers the year

He would not be a FA

If he sits out a lot of games his value and stats will plummet

If he holds out of camp others will pass him by with the new offense and QBs

He’s already behind by not showing up at Mitch’s mini camp

Plus he still owes kids a free camp

Unlike Claypool you are talking about a player that could actually make his case for being a top 3 WR in the NFL next year.

His first 3 years he has better numbers than AB, even though he played with far inferior talent at QB. Mason and Duck his first year, and then an over the hill Ben his next 2.

He has played 3 years and has 2 Pro Bowls to show for it. PR/WR

DJ's number are getting better every year. How can you not like his stats trajectory.
    upload_2022-6-29_18-14-56.png

I don't see him playing for $2.79 million this year.

That's exactly what I'm getting at. So I would wait ,and see. DJ may not be the go 2 guy for whomever it turns out 2 be.

TJ had Nobody that could take His place, and was not dependent on another player like the Qb 2 get Him the ball.....DJ doesn't have the leverage that TJ did. Hopefully He is smarter than that my friend

TJ was a first round pick and wasn't going to play for the fifth year tag, DJ will pay, or his ass will be gone.

Well TJ DOES rely on the QB to get him the ball, from the other team QB, which makes me smile.

47 games played and only 20 TDs. how's that compared to the other top salaried WRs? i think that is where the (is he worth that much) consideration comes in. i think only tyreek hill has more TD's in his first 3 years. now that is different for these top guys now compared to DJ. it's not as much of where you started but where are you vs where are they now compared to him.

i like DJ and hope they sign him, but i wouldn't break the bank just yet.

Last year, DJ had 8 receiving TDs, which is 16th-22nd in the league. That sounds average.
With one more TD, he would have the same number as Tyreek Hill (9-15 position).
DJ with a tiny bit more luck would have been in the top 10.

Another way to look at it is that Hill had 9 TDs, and the other WRs on KC had something like 12 TDs. (Some players aren't listed with a specific position, so it might be a little more.)
DJ had 8 TDs and the other Steelers WRs only had 4 TDs.
Pittsburgh would have to put in more work to replace DJ's TD production than KC will to replace Hill.

And the Steelers, as a team, ranked 16-18 in passing TD’s.
