I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that the head smack is a direct response to you speaking in such absolutes. Disagree with the Donald comparison all you want but you seem to be the only one completely dismissive of the signing. Everyone else is at least guardedly optimistic. I will also make the bold assumption that you're not a doctor and can't possibly know if he will be on the roster to start the season or not.

He just got his contract voided because of an injury and now just signs a one year deal instead. You think he is completely healthy? It’s called logic try it some time. I said he wouldn’t be on the game day roster to start the year most likely not that he couldn’t be a factor later in the year. And yes I’m dismissive of these throw away deep reach moves the Steelers make just like signing Mitch when we need a QB to actually contend. Spend the money it takes to compete in the right areas you are nothing without a QB I don’t care how good Watt or Minkah are.

Not one person has said he's completely healthy, including me. It's also been noted that the Bears signing was nearly 3 months ago, giving him that much more time to heal. There is literally no downside to this signing. Also, you didn't say "most likely", you said he won't even be on the roster to start the season. That is an absolute.

Yes the active roster I don’t think he will be on it to start the year. Let’s see what happens hopefully he is Aaron Donald getting signed to a one year deal because nobody else wanted him.

When you win 3 playoff games in 12 years yes I am not impressed. I don’t wear rose colored glasses and live in fantasy worlds like most on here do. I’m not happy with how this organization has fallen and how the HC who is clearly incompetent gets a pass forever. All that being said hopefully I’m dead wrong and Mitch Trubisky is leading us to the promise land in February.

Oh, so now he has to be Aaron Donald for this deal to be worth anything? Who's the one who doesn't use logic?

Yes I’ll try to do better homework for you pops and make sure I say IMO before everything I post. Last time I checked this is a message board and everything everyone says is in their opinion. Just figured that was a given but I stand corrected. So IMO he will not be healthy enough to be on the Steelers active roster week 1.

Did we not sign a TE that was injured, and pretty much stayed injured???

That's the only reason I'm worried about this signing. If He's healthy it's a great move....if it's like the said TE.....Well...not so much.

He had very similar numbers to wormley last year. Just saying. Wormley actually had more tackles. The same number of sacks. Almost identical snap counts.

Ladarius Greene, that is what I was thinking with the signing as well but less risk more reward type since Greene had a history of concussions and teams started head hunting on him. unless S.T.D. was referring to Ebron but he at least was coming off a solid run in Indy where he flashed a lot.

That depends on if we get that wild turkey trade for Mason.

I guess you think Wormley is better than Casey Hampton because he had more tackles last season than Hampton ever had in one year.

To be clear, I'm not comparing Ogunjobi to Hampton. I'm just pointing out the natural extension of the argument you keep trying to push to try to make Wormley seem like more than he is.

I just hope Ogunjobi is healthy so Wormley can return to the role where he belongs, a backup.

I think the Steelers learned their lesson from last season in not having enough talent on the DL, I don't think they will finish last against the run this season, hopefully we won't see Mondeaux and Archibong play this season.

just showing the numbers from last year but i knew you would chime in with some downgrade of wormley. what the he** does hampton have to do with that position or the conversation? many are treating this guy as our savior for some reason. i'm glad he's here but i don't see a huge upgrade from the production on the field last year. i would have used the money on another offensive swing tackle or another position. not sure of why you hate on the guy so much.:cool:
