I will be going, I live locally so it isn't that far for me to get there. I have been going
to atleast one practice for over 20 years. It never get's old for me. I try to go a day they are to be hitting. Then we go have dinner. Nice day trip for me.

    Probably not

    I have in the past

But they changed the field layout I used to sit up a hill in the shade

Last time I went I was in full sun standing and actually down a bit from the field

Plus I’m not a big fan of people and crowds I do make an exception on game day

When my Dad and I went in 2006 I was up on the hill as well , I don't do well in the sun and it wasn't that hot with some cloud cover but still better from with the shade. Interesting enough my Dad got overheated and dehydrated to the point where he could barely move. I stopped at McDonald's for an hour to cool him down and relax.

First time in forever they don't have Carolina as a preseason partner. I think the world will go off its axis.

Same. We are going August 6th (as of right now) and we always stop at Red Robin in Jeanette on the way home :)

With that the team has the lightest travel schedule this year, and only travels to Jacksonville I preseason. Jet lag should not be an issue, especially seeing they will have homefield throughout the playoffs...ok the last sentence might be a stretch lol.

That’s because the team was sold

Rooneys and the previous owner were friends I believe

Teams do or did have influence on who they played in preseason

Not disputing you, but they were sold 4 years ago. Also this being the 2nd season of 3 games in preseason might have something to do with the scheduling.

The sale date crossed my mind

I was wondering how far out in advance they agree to these

But the relationship is why they did play that’s documented

Like I said not disputing you. I prefer teams that are close in proximity in preseason. Seattle flying here for first pre game is nuts for them.

Agree to agree with your not dispute :smiley1:

Before as you suggested preseason was set by the teams against nearby teams

So who is setting the schedules now

I wish my dad would have been able to take me when I was younger, I grew up in the dynasty years, The Steelersof that era were rock stars to a 13 year old that loved football.

We were planning on going the 29th and 30th but I wouldn't mind switching to 5th and 6th. How do you get the tix for Friday night?

There was in the past a small charge, this benefits the Latrobe Area HS athletic programs. If going get there early, a big crowd
is the norm. Usually around 5-10K people go to this Friday night special. Players will sign autographs before practice starts.
Former players will sometimes be there also. Take your binoculars, so you can see everything happening. And too also see how
big physically these players are in person. A wonderful evening if you love Pgh Steeler football.
