Sitting on the bench because he is not good on a NFL field. Why are we keeping him.

I'd dump Ballage before I'd dump Snell. Not that it's a ringing indictment of Snell. In fact, I hope they can replace all of McFarland, Snell and Ballage. The RB room would be better by default.

    1. Special teams
    2. No other plausible option on roster.

I expect mcfarland to be risky to make the roster if an UDFA pops or they sign a veteran.

Ballage is a free agent, he's not on the team this season.

Ballage is already gone. He is a free agent that the Steelers chose not to resign.

Snell isn't as bad as some fans make him out to be, I expect him to be the #2 RB this season, nobody on the roster is better as the backup RB. Also, Snell is a core special teams player.

    Snell will stay.

McFarland would fit in to Canada's system. If he gets injured in camp ba bye.

They will sign a vet at some point.

He’s basically making minimum so no financial gain

But he can easily be replaced if you find someone with some upside potential

    He doesn’t have it

benny isn't bad, but it will depend on these UDFA's that they brought in. they may be good. pass protection will play a role. mcfarland has shown nothing. i'd rather edmunds over mcfarland.

I think they could do better with others then what Benny gives them.

Hopefully a better option comes along. He's a straight ahead runner who can't create yards on his own. Another draft pick wasted on a UDFA.

Snell can do everything that Najee does ....
He just does it in slow motion

Great. Who do they have available to them to replace Snell?

I still have hope for McFarland. He was looking good in camp last year, and then could just not stay healthy. By the number of reps McFarland was getting in training camp I thought he had passed Snell on the depth chart.

I think Snell will be Najee's backup, but I think McFarland can be RB #2.

No reason to get rid of him right now. Wait till camp and see how he does. Maybe someone better gets cut by another team.

Getting rid of Snell right now makes no sense. With the terrible run blocking that we had last season there is very little sample size and too much upside to throw him to the curb. Plus it basically costs nothing to figure this out later. Why not wait?

I think Justin Jackson may be worth a look at ...certainly faster than Snell and shiftier..and he can catch out of the backfield. Apparently he's been injury prone in San Diego. He's not been anything special in San Diego he just seems a bit more diverse then Snell.

Probably you are correct. But like a gentleman did he close the lid when he was done?

Some fans thought Ballage was a better option last season .
