See I'm only a few years older, but that was one of the players My Father pointed out 2 Me when explaining the awesome Defense that drove this team.

Any list that has Deion above all other DBs is automatically a joke list. He doesn't belong in the top 10. Period.

If it doesn't include Joe Greene or Mel Blount, it's even more a joke.

    Ray Lewis?!?! LMAO

So this was made by a youngster with only hype in mind who randomly picked a few HOFs to fill out the list.

I can see Ray Lewis on the list. He had some really good seasons......then he skated on name recognition, IMO, much like Junior Seau

Plus a part of what I was thinking but didn’t explain well was Blount could support the run in a run oriented game

Unlike not ready for prime time

Certainly, this all is very subjective and at the end of the day, all very much a matter of opinion. So, just in my opinion, Aaron Donald is most definitely deserving.

Ray Lewis has a case to be in the top 10, he's a two time DPOY, and two time Super Bowl champ.

I would say it's too early to put Donald in the top 10, he has only played eight seasons.

You know who else has 2 SB rings? Bubby Brister! Lewis was, as I said, very good. Maybe the best at his position.........for a while. Towards the end, he seemed to just jump on the pile after someone else made the tackle. Same with Seau.

The CB’s are so hard to compare and evaluate from different era’s because the passing game and rules changed so much.

No matter how objective I believe I can be, as a Steeler fan and hater of all things Raven, Lewis has always been to me very overrated.

He is also only one of two players ever named NFL DPOY three times. In addition, he is one of three players since the merger to be named to every Pro Bowl since entering the NFL; Derrick Thomas and LT being the other two. Add in his Super Bowl Ring and it becomes exponentially difficult to leave Donald off of the list for me.

Putting Ray Lewis over the likes of Singletary or Nitschke is blasphemy. Another case of a player who had 1-3 good seasons, hyped up ad nauseum by the press and sucked up by fans whose memory was from about 3 years ago. And Lewis especially benefited from hype. If he was even on the field, he got credit for at least 1/2 a tackle! Now, Lambert is obviously my favorite MLB of all time. But even I wouldn't put him ahead of Butkus, Singletary or Nitschke. But I WOULD put him WAY ahead of Lewis. Lewis arguably wasn't even the best MLB of his time, much less all time!

Right here. He was. This list is a complete joke. (Especially since Blount should have been over either of them)

I especially love it when someone says how stupid these lists are, then immediately makes their case for who should be on the list.

I'd personally rather see Mt Rushmore of all 11 defensive positions. Heck the way the game is evolving you can almost say there's about 13 or 14 starting positions due to different formations. I just can't compare Ray Lewis to a Darrelle Revis or Rod Woodson; the same way I can't compare Dick Butkus to Reggie White or Aaron Donald.

Blount was great for his time. I do not think he would have been as good in any Era due to what made him so great was literally assaulting receivers down the field.
