The All flash and no substance statement is directed more at Garretts build in relation to Watt’s. Obviously if they are getting off the bus and you see them side by side your going to pick Garrett. I have no idea what your talking about with your referent to a self rebuttal. Just because I said Garrett is built like a freak of nature doesn’t in anyway suggest he is a better pass rusher, a better football player or even a better athlete. It would be interesting to compare their combine numbers, not that it matters. Watt plays with so much grit and hustle it just transcends him above everyone else.

Who is the better pass rusher? Do you factor in the Strip Sack, Forced Fumbles into the equation?

Watt 22 forced fumbles with 72 sacks
Garret 11 forced fumbles with 58.5 sacks. This is not even a close race.

As AskQuestionsLater stated, Miles brings a ton to the table and has the pedigree & athleticism to boot. I personally just think that TJ is a superior football player. It's much much like the Rod/Deion or Troy/Ed Reed comparisons.

What I have been stating this entire time.

For that matter, I fail to understand how many more times I have to say who my preference is.

What? I wasn't being sarcastic at all. Now you've taken two posts that had nothing to do with you personally.

There's another poster that we are all familiar with that was being referred to. It had nothing to do with you, and my comment was just answering your question truthfully.

    Watt: 5 seasons

    72 Sacks
    194 Solo Tackles
    77 Assists
    4 Interceptions
    2021 DPOY
Tied the Gap with 22.5 sacks in 2021

    Garrett: 5 seasons

    58.5 Sacks
    131 Solo Tackles
    63 Assists
    0 Interceptions
    0 DPOY
    16 Sacks in 2021

Garrett is more gifted :lolol: Watt is neck and neck with Donald as the best defensive player in the NFL. Garrett isn't. Stats don't lie.

    WRONG.

Garrett couldn't even get to Ben (slowest 2021 QB in the NFL) with our average OTs last year. Watt makes some of the best OTs in the game look foolish.

I don't understand how Myles Garrett isn't in prison for criminal assault.

I momentarily confused Garrett with Donald when I saw the thread title because that’s a better debate.

Watt is no doubt better than Garrett. Doesn’t require any thought.

    You are missing my point.

Again, I would prefer T.J. over Garrett. Others though do not feel the same way. As per usual though, you only specific comments by others and form your opinions there as opposed to being comprehensive about the entirety of the discussion.

I think it's because people are still stuck on the projections of Garrett. He's alot of more gifted and physically talented than TJ. TJ is just the definition of a football player. He doesn't blow you off the wall physically but he's just a football player. I'd personally take TJ but you can't go wrong with either depending on what you're looking for.

I agree with everything except the Donald statement. He's in a class by himself.

You've bungled this beyond belief. Thank the gods the Steelers have Watt and not Garrett.

    Bungled this?! Funny.

All I stated were what I believed as to why so many national experts have the two closer in terms of ranking than others do. I had already stated that Watt would be my preferred choice but could understand why some would want Garrett over him. Nothing more to it than that.

If anything, the only "bungling" here is your lack of comprehension for I have explained this plenty.

Please tell me, for the love of all that is holy, how TJ is not as "physically gifted" as Garrett? What does that even mean?

    Athletically. Not physically.

Regardless, me and you both know that such gifts only take one so far. A lot more to pass rushing than that.

I'd rank Lloyd, Merriweather, Greene, Brown, Woodley and Harrison above Garrett... and those are just Steelers linebackers.

    Fair enough.

Once again though, those sentiments are coming from the National Media and not my own. Here is an example via a podcast; Daniel Jerimiah stating that Myles Garrett is the prototype EDGE Player. Reminder that again, these are Daniel's words and not mine. Me personally, I have already outlined that talent alone is not enough. Need both talent and hard work too.

Again though, and I have been asking you this many times already, point to me, at any point in time since 2018, that I stated I wanted Watt over Garrett. Yes, it is true, I had Obi Melifonwu over T.J. Watt to get selected as I believed that TJ Watt would not be available at pick number 30. I was happily wrong that he was and could not be more so now.

Ok, I'll ask again then, how is Garrett more "athletically gifted" than TJ?
