Did any of us envision a scenario before the season that had BRIAN HOYER taking snaps in a meaningful regular season game for the Steelers? Yeah, that's what I thought. There is a realistic chance that could happen given Batch's age and his tendency to be injured. Wow!

Also, did any of us envision that Plax would be back out of necessity because our WR core continues to be decimated by injury and quite frankly, underperformance from a certain diva WR?

Talk about a season taking an unusual twist. The truth IS really stranger than fiction at times.

I am getting used to something with the Steelers over the past few years: that the only thing that is usual is that it will be unusual. Nothing ever quite goes as planned, nothing is ever "easy."

Who would have thought Suisham would be 20/20 on XP and 20/21 on field goals. Almost the same numbers as Janikoswki. But, Suisham keeps gettin flack from a lot of fans.

Well not lately, but before he was, more trust factor with fans I think.

Some of us argued to keep JJ on the practice squad. I think we were right and that should of happened.

I thought that the OLINE would get killed like they normally do and basically we would have everyone who wasnt on a team playing for us at OLINE but no way did I think this would happen at the qb and wr spots

I think Hoyer is a better option should we need to go that deep on the QB depth chart. For the here and now anyway.

Actually I did see the Plax signing...I just thought it was going to happen right after week one so his salary would not be guaranteed.

I thought there was no reason we wouldn`t be putting up 28/34 points a game, with an O.C., that knew how to use our weapons...
Also, thought we had the deepest runningback/wide receiver/quarterback depth, in the league...
Just goes to show you what you get for thinking...
    SMDH....
    Dammit...
    C`mon STEELERS!!!

The O-line, has been one pleasant surprise this season, that I did not expect...
It shoould just get better with DeCastro, and Adams learning how to pass protect...
Keeep these guys together for a while, and they could be very good... Pouncey may not be as injury prone as I Feared...
I would still get rid of Gilbert, just because he keeps falling on the other lineman...
Other than that, I would call them a pleasant surprise..
Not too many false start/ holding penalties... opening a few holes for the runningbacks, and keeping the qb clean, for the most part. (Adams needs to step up his game here, but I think he will, given that he is a Raw Rookie, right now..
    GO STEELERS!

Honestly I never saw anything that has happened this year. It's been a fack show this year. Total mess. Never seen so many injuries in one year to key players. The biggest surprise has been some of the guys I thought would suck have stepped up and surprised me. Example.. Foote and Keynan Lewis.

Charlie starting is awesome. 38 years old and once again he has an opportunity to show his worth. Face it. If he was not on the team what in the heck would we have? He is going to surprise everyone come Sunday afternoon. He wont have to be worry about being hit . It's not his style and never has been. Face it Charlie is about one hit away of being out of the NFL.. The dude is 38 . He made it through training camp and preseason for a reason

I have to agree with one of the above posters, NOTHING IS EVER EASY for
these Steelers, Thats why you can never compare these current Steelers
to the Dynasty years. Those Steelers made things look so easy that it was silly.
Didn't matter who they were playing just steamrolled them. LOL can't hurt to
to have 10-12 HOF on a team. The greatest team EVER assembled.
