I'm going to move quickly past your mangled English to point out that the reason he got the MVP was the interceptions, neither of which was a good play on his part. They were just poor execution by the offense.

Now you want to give Sanders credit for plays he didn't make. Funny how all the experts who voted for the MVP in that game didn't give it to him.

I know he didn't care about tackling. Still the best to ever do it.

When a cb doesn't make plays. That's actually a good day long as they weren't just giving up plays. If he's giving up no plays nor making any plays he's doing his job.

Who's to say what anyone on here is saying is true? Can anyone here give me their credentials over any former player, coach, etc.. in terms of football?

Since you're part of the FF generation and nothing matters but stats, Dick LeBeau has more INTs in fewer games than Sanders. In an era when the ball wasn't passed much. Then, there's Dick "Night Train" Lane........

Its very simple. Forget about the tackling for a second. Just look at their career stats. In fact you can even break down their career stats on a per game basis because Woodson happened to play three more years than Deion. On a per game basis Woodson beats him in every category with one exception. Deion had more touchdown returns on interceptions. Back then it was all about the splash play and getting on NFL Highlights with Chris Berman. Even from a splash pay perspective though Woodson actually outperformed Sanders in the return department. You love to throw it out there that Sanders won two super bowls. He was on some pretty dominant teams. On the Cowboys I would suggest he was probably fourth in line in the impact department behind their QB, RB, Guard and WR. I also recall in the Super Bowl against the Steelers Deion let up a TD on a slant pattern to I believe it was Yancey Thigpen. He barely even tried on the play. Your argument is very flawed to suggest tackles don’t matter by the way.

Thinking for myself allows me to realize that I shouldn't base my opinion on the excuses Sanders made for having such a significant weakness in his game and never bothering to try to fix it. You, on the other hand, just thoughtlessly lap up anything any football player tells you like a naive child.

There's a such thing as game film. I've studied deion religiously and don't even play his position.

So then nobody in the nfl is good. It's all just a matter of opinion.

I didn't say stats only matter. Also they threw less but they threw more epics back then and were much careless with the ball. Look at the guys with the highest int percentages as passers. Literally all are from those eras night train, Emlin tunnel, lebaeu etc.. played in.

Thing is about those 2 sbs he was the difference. He came to San Fran and they got over the hump and finally won. He then went to Dallas and they went back and won the superbowl.

When judging someone's ability to cover a wr that's something stats aren't really going to tell you especially back then as they didn't keep track like they do now.

And deion himnself said it multiple times. He said tackling is for linebackers and they don't pay me to tackle.

He can make all the excuses he wants. He's primetime. Lol he got people signing up to play for him for a reason at a school they never would look at if he wasnt the cosch. Anything he says about football no matter what it is holds 100000000000000x more value then anything you'd even think about in terms of football.

I can't decide if you're ignorant or just argumentative. The original question was who was better, Sanders or R Woodson. Since they were both good, who was better is a matter of opinion.
Honest to God, you defend your chosen few as if you were their b****! Brown, Bell, Lamar, now showboat Deion?
There are a lot of good players in the NFL. Who was/is the best is an opinion. Not hard to understand!
