I'm saying career because unlike you, I know enough to take the entire picture into account, not just regurgitate what a few talking heads tell us like you do.

Your post absolutely meant that. See, you aren't very good at this, which is why you keep contracting yourself. Of course, your entire point is idiotic because you are blowing off dominance against ACC as the Steelers look for their replacement for a Hall of Fame quarterback who played his college ball in the MAC.

If your metaphor actually held up, a referee would have saved him by breaking this up a long time ago. I'd take that farther, but I'd rather not make a concussion joke.

I would have preferred the team didn't draft a QB, but when Pickett made it to pick 20, I can see why they made the choice. (A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.)

How do you figure they have a "good chance"?

When the Steelers got Ben, it required two unusual factors:
    - A much earlier pick than normal. The 2003 season was the worst record (6-10) in the past 22 years.
(They also went 6-10 in 1999. Then you have to go back to 1988 for their 5-11 season.)
    - Two other QBs picked before Ben (E. Manning and Rivers)

How many of these ultra-talented college QBs do you predict entering the draft, that they won't all be snatched up in the first 5 picks?
And you think there is a "good chance" that the Steelers will be picking early enough to have a shot at one of those QBs? (Or have enough draft resources to be able to trade up?)

My first drinking experience was provided by a bum. Stroh's 30 pack in 1986. We provided the money, he asked for 4 in return. Awesome deal.

It was a half gallon of wine. 4 of us drank some Friday. Word got around and all of our compatriots wanted some Saturday night. Not enough for everyone so I normally took the lead on good ideas and bad. I told everyone to raid their dad’s liquor cabinet and take a little bit of anything. Not enough to get caught. We mixed the wine with whiskey, crème de menthe, kahlua etc
We drank it behind the red garages while an ice storm came through
Then we walked around laughing barfing and falling down
    Life was good

Not to get off topic....but as a bass player, I own a few guitars. Fender Mexican Strat, Hamer PRS copy and a Carvin 7-string. Beautiful guitars. Played guitar for a while and owned the Steve Vai Ibanez Universe UV77BK 7-string and a Les Paul Studio back in the 00's.

    That's cool:thumbs_up:, and as a Guitar player.....I own a (cheap) Fender Squire....I believe....because I don't think it's the original neck, but it does what I need it 2 do when doing recordings.
I use 2 have a bunch of Guitars until about 6 years ago , and I had 2 sell them.
Now I have 4 left, and that one bass.
    A Tradition, a 80s Jackson, My old Gretsch, a cheap Ibanez, and a Alvarez acoustic.....wait that's 5 guitars. LoL.

Holy sh!t....I have 2 Alvarez acoustics. Both are jumbos with electronics to plug in. I swear....these Alvarez's sound just as good as Martin and Taylor's at half the cost. 12 string and a 6string.

My ex girlfriend had a Taylor and my Alvarez kicked it's ass.

    Agreed
My 12 string... was one of the guitars I said I had 2 sell.
It was a hard decision between My 6,and 12 string, but I thought I would get more use out of the 6.

Love to play Wanted Dead or Alive, Bon Jovi and Pink Floyd's Wish you were here on the 12 String. 12's sound amazing. Underrated instrument.
