Thar is quite a list. Tenacity pays off. Idk the history of all those guys but Harrison and Hilton bounced around a bit. Harrison was ready to call it quits but someone got injured and he finally got the shot.

Pretty solid list. Odds say one of them will stick. I like that they added UDFAs in the positions they didn't draft: OT, RB, LB, CB, DT

Durant intrigues me more than the others. He has something you can’t coach, that extra gear. I hope he sticks. I see him more as an X or Z receiver. Y receivers block more, and I don’t know if that is in his skillset.

He’s a running back. Do you think he’ll be used as a receiver by the Steelers?

    And you’re right…you can’t coach speed!

well they had to coach Gump with his speed, although it was when to stop.

It seems logical. They don’t use two backs much, Najee is there, and he ain’t big enough anyway. As a z receiver (flanker for you oldsters) he could be productive. JMHO, which is not worth ****.

Well there is precedent for it. Greg Hawthorne and Dwight Stone were both running backs before the Steelers converted them to receiver. So you might be onto something.

when marino was in miami he had the marks brothers. mark duper and mark clayton, both 5-9. pretty effective to say the least. short but quick guys can make it. that is what AB and DJ use to their advantage. they didn't have blazing speed and size.

When the Oilers had the run and shoot with Warren Moon they had some small receivers. Tony Jones was only 5'7" and weighed 140 lbs. Earnest Givens was 5'9" and weighed 170.
Remember the Smurfs the WR crew from the Redskins? Alvin Garrett 5'7" 170lbs. Virgil Seay 5'8" 175 lbs. Charlie Brown 5'10" 180lbs. and they all played when you were allowed to light up the WR coming across the middle.

Two memories on UDA speed. Dwight hands of Stone and Fast Willie Parker. If the football gods give us even a decent twin of the latter that's a win.

I will even give Stone some credit. Any UDFA that hangs around the league for 14 years..pretty amazing.

He is also the nicest guy you ever want to meet too. Personal friend of the family. Many forget he was a running back coming in.

I remember vividly a 40 he ran. Idk the circumstances but it was clocked by the coach at 4.22. Dwight told the reporter it had to be wrong so do it again. This one was better. It's semantics, cannot be proven but the man was fast.
