You’re taking that term ass whooping a little too literal. Point is we beat the Browns last year twice and Watson has never beaten us. I’m not worried about it until something changes.

It has gotten laughable at this point. Leaking a few games days ahead. Teaming this with the Brady announcement and the endless BS I just turned my radio off.

The Pirates have a home game on that Sunday. I’m guessing parking would be a huge problem.

I live in New England and Boston routinely has days where the Celtics, Red Sox and Bruins are on schedule the same day

I agree. I'm not a fan of the new schedule. It is unfair that half of the league gets more home games than the other half in a given season.

Words mean things. Ass whooping is a blowout, not a narrow victory. Watson has played against the Steelers once. It may be accurate to say his team has never beaten the Steelers with him starting, but it's a bit misleading to phrase it that way.

The Browns got better. Mayfield sucked in both games against the Steelers. Watson is a significant upgrade over what they got from Mayfield last season. Of course, the coaches are still there, so that's a problem. Unless they really were trying to make Mayfield look bad, which is a conspiracy theory that he seems to be pushing, their game plan against the Steelers Week 17 was moronic. They were facing a terrible Pittsburgh run defense, yet they kept putting the ball in the air rather than attack that weakness with Nick Chubb.

Tough start to the season, 5 of those first 6 games could easily be losses. I wonder if that will play a roll in who starts the season. They may want to go with the veteran presence in Trubisky. Unless Pickett just plays so good in preseason they have to roll with him.

Agreed. The Steelers certainly got no favors from the people making up the schedule. It isn't just the quarterback position. They will be trying to incorporate two rookie receivers and at least two new starters on the offensive line. That could all take some time to come together.

The NFC had an extra away game last year, this year it is the AFC.
It is not really unfair because it doesn't affect playoff seeding.
The AFC also gets 2 home preseason games this year to the NFC 1.
Keeps the overall home games to 10, just as it always was.

The teams with more home games have an advantage over the ones with fewer, but splitting it up by conference certainly helps balance things out.

I doubt they have adequate parking to compensate both a Steelers game and a Pirates game.

It rotates as per agreement on the 17 game schedule. One year you supposedly have 8, the next 9. To be seen if they follow through.

Looks like only 5 night games. Looks like no 4:00 games. Wish those 5 night games were 4:00.

Kind of glad to open in Bengal land. Get that over with. I'm sure Bengal fans think they finally have the upper hand over us. They will be super pumped for obvious reasons. I guess they will raise the AFC Champion banner before game. Now, how awesome if they walk home bummed out just like after the SB.

By Sept. 11th the Pirates will be so out of it I doubt 3000 show up but it would add to the traffic.

especially by Sept. of a season. Pittsburgh longs for the Steelers as soon as the Pirates go bad which is sometime end of April.

I do not get the comment on making up the schedule. The teams you play are predetermined except fir 4 games that are determined by the position you place within your division. Thus the next day after the final regular season game you knowxwho you will play the following season.

I guess where or when you play can have a bearing, but I don't buy it. Last year we started 3 rooks on O on the road again the Bills and won. The schedule itself is very favorable to the Steelers in many ways. Limited travel, the first 6 games equal home and away. 2 away games leading into a buy, then 2 home after. 2 away then finish with 3 home 2 away with equal spread.

I personally dislike playing the Ravens 2x in 4 weeks at the end of the season, we knew who we were going to play, the schedule itself is pretty evenly spaced imho.
