    Greensburg family (dad’s side)

Like all of you hardcore Steelers family. Born in ‘65 so great age as a kid to watch the splendor of the 70’s take place. Swag and lots of trash talk as a 10-15 year old young man. Great time to be a kid watching the dynasty unfold and grow. Happy to be here amongst friends. May post on occasion and will try to be as respectful as possible. Never intend to disrespect others thoughts and opinions. Definitely an emotional topic (Steelers) but like I tell my boys (15 & 14)…it’s a sport…and they are all xtremely well compensated for it. Both celebrate and mourn with a clear perspective of that.

Live in SoCal for now. Retired military…and USC Trojan fan (Go Swann, Polamalu, Smith, etc). Happy to be here.

Welcome to the left coast. I'm up in God's Country at the base of the Sierra Nevada's outside of Bishop CA. There's a few other CA folks on this MB. You forgot the 2nd coming of Lynn Swann in your USC list - Calvin Sweeney of course. Unfortunately never quite measured up. Ventura County rocks!

How busy was the trout opener this weekend? Wish I’d been there but, I’m stuck in Morro Bay!

My only gauge was seeing lots of groups of guys stocking up on food at Vons. So it was either Fishmas or some other celebration. ;) I wouldn't mind being stuck in Morro Bay. Some really good grub over there.

Smooth sailing or are you hauling it via trailer? I'd take Morro Bay and Seattle (or Tacoma). Great food all about, especially the clam chowder.

On it’s own bottom. The chowder in Morro Bay was good! Seas are a little sloppy here off of Pt. Sur.

I will, thanks! The weather offshore this year has been brutal. Right now, we’re going to have to wait 3 days in Sausalito for weather!

This reminds me of a very long winded story with a twisted moral punchline about a character named Larry the Lobster - that goes: " I left my harp....in Sam Clam's Disco....". (sung to the tune of Tony Bennett's famous tune). So remember Santee, don't forget your harp when leaving port in Sausalito. :drinks:

Great song but, whenever the weather gets really crappy, I get “Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald” stuck in my head!

What exactly are you cruising/sailing? to Seattle on? Are you accompanying the owner or delivering it for a new owner? Who decides if it's more economical to transport by carrier vs water?

This one is a 73’ Marlowe. Kind of a trawler style. The new owner is traveling with me. Normally, I don’t do deliveries with the owner aboard. It’s up to the owner to decide if it’s better to travel on her own bottom. In this case, it is. If the weather would cooperate, we could have done this trip in 4.5-5 days. Instead, I’m a week in and have only made San Francisco!

Just hoping the new owner is footing all your time and expenses - would hate to have to eat the delays on something like this. God speed Santee!
