Might work. Now that the draft is over, I'd really like a vet RB added. Davis, Justin Jackson, Sony Michel, Jerick McKinnon. Someone.

Steelers did sign Mataeo Durant. Normally I do not put much stock in UDFAs, but this guy can play. He absolutely should have been drafted.

I have no interest in Mike Davis. I got to see him quite a bit with the Panthers. To be frank, he's terrible. Questionable vision, lacks burst, not really elusive in any way. Very average back. I will give him credit for being a pretty decent goaline/RedZone back. Other than that he wouldn't be much of an upgrade over Snell.

Why would we sign him after drafting Hayward?

Not against bringing a vet in? Not sure this is the guy. Thinking there may will.be a more few coming down the pike as June cuts come.

Because if they're counting on him to run the ball we are in trouble.

You might actually want to watch some of his games. He started out as a running back. He’s got power, a bit of speed, a little wiggle. He’s got very good hands. He’s just a good hard nosed football player. Drop edmunds and keep Hayward and Watt.

Questionable vision, lacks burst, not elusive…sounds like he checks all the boxes for a Steelers backup running back.

Davis is signed to play FB/RB/TE

Hayward was signed to fill the vacancy created by the dear departure of Derek Watt :beg:

why would they get rid of Watt? Makes no sense to hope and pray he goes. He’s a solid full back and a great special teams player. Heyward is much more than just a fullback. Started as a running back. Has outstanding hands. The man is just a very good hard nosed football player. Get rid of Edmunds and keep watt and heyward.

If he is anything like his father defenders are going to get run over. Letting Edmonds go is no loss as well as McFarland.

Ironhead Jr. is 5'11" and weighs 240. He's like tackling a speeding bowling ball.
