Jordan Tucker was a 3 year starter blocking for Sam Howell at UNC. He's a monster at 6'7" and 340 lbs.

thats a big boy. we had a kid from our local HS that got recruited by the buckeyes. he was 6-7 360 as a freshman in HS. he lost weight in his 4 years and graduated at 6-7 320 going to the buckeyes to play OT. moves well too. he even played basketball. i said i'd hate to have to feed that kid. i know how much my two boys ate. 6-0 320 and 6-3 325. i figure they throw a half a steer into his room at the beginning of the week and collect the bones at the end of the week. :smiley1::cool:

Donovan Jeter is a true 3-4 nose tackle at 6'3" and weighing 320. His draft report states that he has tremendous strength but doesn't make a lot of tackles. He is simply a space eater that plugs the middle and let's the quick guys move in for the tackle.

Who knows, but definitely has a chance at least PS if he shows any skill. D line is one place we need youth depth

I heard that Watts has 4.3 speed, let's see if he can stick to the practice squad.

I'm a USC fan, I would be shocked if Steele makes it past the practice squad.

many of these guys may be on the practice squad for a year or two. doesn't mean they won't have worth down the road. some will, some won't. you don't play at a major college like USC if you are that bad.

I think they snatched up a decent bunch..
This was a very large draft class and some of the players would have been drafted in a normal year.
    • RB Mataeo Durant, Duke
    • RB Jaylen Warren, Oklahoma State
    • OL Jake Dixon, Duquesne
    • OL Chris Owens, Alabama
    • OL Jordan Tucker, North Carolina
    • DL Donovan Jeter, Michigan
    • OLB Tyree Johnson, Texas A&M
    • OLB T.D. Moultry, Auburn
    • DB Chris Steele, Southern California
    • DB Bryce Watts, Massachusett

Camp bodies and at times a role player and even rarer times you find a gem.

I think they are all UDFA's. Right now, Jordan and Tucker have my attention with Watts. I'd also root for Johnson, I hope he can transition.
    • RB Mataeo Durant, Duke - Kind of a small RB to me but as mentioned, a guy that likely will be training camp fodder.
    • RB Jaylen Warren, Oklahoma State ---- Ran well for the Cowboys. Nothing really special pops out to me but the Steelers are probably looking for a dependable RB to spell Harris.
    • OL Jake Dixon, Duquesne --- The guy is versatile, but limited experience.
    • OL Chris Owens, Alabama --- This guy probably has the most potential.
    • OL Jordan Tucker, North Carolina --- This a big guy, and a road grader. I hope he can rise to the next level. He's a guy that might play OG/OT
    • DL Donovan Jeter, Michigan -- Has had some good moment at Mich... I think he will fit the 3-4 just fine, it's more of a question of can he rise to the next level.
    • OLB Tyree Johnson, Texas A&M - My kind of LB, 6'4" ~235/240 and can carry a little extra weight. A Hustler - he'll have to be to make the roster.
    • OLB T.D. Moultry, Auburn - Training camp fodder, maybe special teams.
    • DB Chris Steele, Southern California - Good size but I question his productiveness. He's going to get coached well, and he better take advantage of it.
    • DB Bryce Watts, Massachusett - A better pickup than Steele. I like his potential.
