Would have preferred Mathieu but no way he’s settling for this type of deal.

Cowboy fans saying Kazee sucks. Not that it means much, Cowboy fans after all.

He is certainly a ball hawk. In 34 NFL starts he has 12 interceptions.

I live in Georgia. And used to be the falcons photographer. I can vouch for the kids. He's a great ball hawk. And will bea a great addition with how we play defense.

And screw the cowgirls. They don't know how to even respect their own players. Everyone sucks to them unless they can get a ring.

This makes me feel a lot better about not getting a safety in the draft.

A far cry from the Honey Badger, Steelers aren't wanting to pay HB's price. Oh well you can't sign them all.

Love this! Now get Justin Jackson, Sony Michel, or Jerick McKinnon. I'd take Justin Houston on a cheap 1yr, too.

Why did cowboys cut him? Wasn’t their secondary not great?

No one wanted this guy either. He was a free agent in 2021 as well and got a 1 year extension with the cowboys. We basically got 2 back ups competing for the starting position.

    2023 #1 pick…. SS or ILB ?

huh? 2 backups? hasn't edmunds started for 4 years? killebrew, joseph, kazee, edmunds. many teams would love to have that type of depth. not pro bowlers but that is a pretty good group to have hanging around in the secondary. lot's of field time in the nfl amongst this group.

Houston is too old, he had his chance last season and chose to go to Baltimore.

You have to pay Minkah first. Getting Kazee and Edmonds back at this price is really good depth. One year, but allows other holes to be filled and longer term strategies to come into focus.

Yes he started. And how's that been going? So well that not a single team in the NFL outside of Pittsburgh offered him a contract better than what we offered? He should not be starting. He's not good. Kazee wasn't a 1st rounder but played about as well as Edmunds. Good enough to get a 1 year contract. If the cowboys wanted him they would have easily kept him. Anyone for that matter could have had this guy for peanuts. Both are solid backups that should not be starting .

I don't think Houston has much left, but I would certainly take one of those running backs.

did you want matheu? just because nobody offered them a contract doesn't mean the stink. look at the top wr's still sitting out there while teams saved money and took fliers on draft picks instead. edmunds numbers have improved every year, while maybe not ideal, he had as good of year as Tyrann Matheu and actually better last year. we could do a lot worse then a guy that has played next to our FS for 3 years. that means something. our qb only signed for two years and not a lot of money. i'm hoping brian flores has some knowledge that helps this defense. our defensive backfield is in pretty good shape from what we have had for the past many seasons. heck nelson is still unsigned and last year he signed for a one year deal somewhere. many wanted us to pay him big money to stay. haden is unsigned too. lot's of guys are. doesn't mean they all stink.
