As usual, I agree with you! I LIKE this move. Cotchery is hurt and AB is out until at least the next Ravens game.

Plaxico does have the nose for the end zone when your down in the red zone. Hopefully he has kept in shape. I'm not against him coming, but I would like to see what we have in Gilreath. Sometimes when injures happen is when you find what you have in your young players.

I think it might say more about #89.

My point is that went we lost our key receiver to an injury, they couldn't turn to wallace as the key man. Instead they'll bring in Plax and throw to him and heath while Wallace draws attention elsewhere.

Wallace is not a number 1 wr. he is a guy with unbelievable speed and he draws alot of attention. AB has all the makings of a #1 wr. he can make all the catches, he has speed and he works hard. losing him has been a huge lose.

Our go-to receiver is now Sanders, at least until 84 is healthy. He's the one they (BR, BL, whoeverplaysthisweek) are looking for on 3rd down.

    I like this move, 5wr set: 17, 80, 84, 88, 83...

    Steelers to sign Plaxico today

Per Adam Schefter needs to work out a contract Brown and Cotchery are both hurt this signing could help especially in the redzone.

    whats the latest on AB?

they made the injury out to be minor, but apparently its not. is it a high ankle sprain? that would explain him being out so long.

Tomlin said AB had a good work out today (whatever that means) and listed him as questionable. I doubt he'll play this week.

Plaxico? Uh-oh. You better get it together Wallace! Lol! I've tried to be a Wallace supporter, but I know Plax is going to find that end-zone... AND hold onto the damned ball! :lolol:

I choose to be optimistic, but I think this can be a bust as much as a shot in the arm. Plax still has skills I'm sure, but are they more of a short fix and hold things together variety or will he be a solid mainstay??? It really could go either way.

Right now I'm indiffernt to the whole thing. At least we have a tall vet with big hands and some sort of familiarity/chemistry but he doesn't know squat in this play book. Probably more of a 10 yard hook and 15 15 yard post vanilla type stuff for a little while. I wouldn't expect any kind fireworks especially while Ben is out.

What?! We have NO DEPTH at receiver - we have lost two of our four original receivers (with Gilreath only getting added later). How on earth does this translate into Wallace losing the starting job?

I agree that Wallace's performance has not bee stellar. But the lengths some of you guys go to twist facts into silliness is astounding.
