If they don’t get the Oline better in a hurry, this will be the new crowd chant at Heinz Field…..

They’ve said there would be 4 quarterbacks in training camp.

I hope they didn't waste a draft pick on a camp arm with no shot to make the team.

It really doesn’t bother me at all. I’m excited to see the competition for #1qb. 4 dogs, one bone get them on the field and let them sort it out.

I’m stunned they wouldn’t roll the dice on a developmental tackle like Walker out of Penn State instead of these last two picks. Guy has prototypical size and played at a big-time program. Or even a box safety. They must like their roster at RT and SS (and CB) much more than I do.

oh well, great hanging out with you guys these last few days!

Are you kidding me, Strong was still on the board? So you take a guy that poses no threat to anyone just to have a body to throw on the field in case of injury? Wow. I don’t even know what to say to that.

Should have gotten Jake Ferguson from Wisconsin for a TE.

seems to me they think more of Oladokun than strong. They’ve scouted all of them.

I am wondering why we didn't take Willis in the third round. He was still there. If you are going to double-dip at quarterback, wouldn't you want to increase your chances of finding your franchise guy by taking what many considered the top two quarterbacks in the class?

I have been saying this since the beginning of the year.

Pittsburgh has historically done this under Colbert and, as far as I know, since the merger. Contingency plans need to have contingency plans of their own; all the more reason the Steelers have been one of the few teams to carry three QBs since 2000. Can never have enough fail safes.

One thing all of us can agree on...

Definitely has a Gold Jacket awaiting him for certain. $10 states that he will not have to wait long either.

Mike Jones was a Missouri RB years ago and I believe the Raiders drafted him to play LB. Edit: Jones went undrafted and signed with the Raiders as an UDFA. After signing as a free agent with the Rams, he made the game ending tackle in Super Bowl 34, stopping Kevin Dyson at the 1-yard-line. Robinson is about the same size as Mike Jones.

We hate Defense. The Freaking Steelers the team that I grew up Loving for the Defense. The Team that made Me want 2 play Defense. The Team that was 32 in rush Defense, and below 20 in almost all Defensive categories...except sacks, and We hate Defense now. I don't know what 2 think.

Will never happen my friend. It doesn't work like that. Not enough snaps in practice. Unless they are switching out the number 1 Qb every day.

MY guess is because they don't want a real competition for number 1...just for the number 2, and this way there is no chance of that. IMO

Alfredo Roberts says of right now they're looking at Heyward as a TE.

Yeah, ok. Most successful TE's are stumpy armed, 5'11 guys. Sure. I'm sure he'll beat out Muth, Gentry, and Radar. And I can't wait to see him put a rushing Myles Garrett on his ass. Yeah baby!

There is a big difference between a third-round pick and a seventh-round selection.

That said, I wouldn't have hated it. I was only half-joking when I suggested taking Howell in the fourth. I think rolling the dice on Willis would have made more sense than gambling on Leal in the third. Then again, there were quite a few players available I would have preferred over Leal. Of course, it would mean they had to trade or cut Rudolph, but that would have been fine.
