We don't have a 5th round pick maybe trade Rudolph to the Seahawks for a 5th. He could compete to be the starter there with Drew Lock.

Baltimore picking up Hamilton this year hurts, but giving up Brown to do it may hurt worse.

Pickett will at least have a shot to beat out Mitch this season. Willis would've been a gameday inactive for all of 2021. Pickett would have to light it up in camp and Pre-Season though to be the day 1 starter. I think they want to ease him into it and not have to carry the load from day 1. I bet he is starting by the end of the season though

Unless Matt Canada can unlock more of Pickett than some of us believe?

Canada was his OC in College if I recall. That said, I still stand by my statement about him; either he is close or has reached his ceiling.

Fair enough and I'm good with seeing what happens but if anyone sees Pickett as a 1st round QB, then the bar is pretty damn low.

Got 2 get behind what We got. Nobody knows Pickett better than them in the NFL.

    Well...

This entire crop of QBs was pretty low overall.

I suppose we might as well rhyme.

    Pickett One, Pickens Two :)

Like I said earlier. The 16 million a year that was scoffed at a few months ago is going to be way off. DJ gonna earn big money this year. With Pickett on his rookie deal, I think we can afford it.

Think he said same thing when Jarvis Jones dropped to 17

I was hoping they'd get Davis, but Philly traded up to get him. The Rats likely would have taken him anyway. I was hoping the Steelers would trade up to get him.

The look at Willis was mostly b/c nobody thought Pickett would still be available at 20. I'm pretty happy with the pick, and I like it better than I would have if it had been Willis.

Watch- the f’n Bengals will take Linderbaum. He might have been a reach at 20, but, I would have preferred that over what we did. AARGH! :frustrated:

Hopkins was already making 27 million before kirk. He set the bar for other above average guys. Not tyreek hill and adams

Jarvis though was as unimpressive and as big of a reach as any EDGE from his class.

It was either Pickett or Willis for many. Not me but others thought differently.

Unlikely but what if Trubisky leads the Steelers to a 11-6 record and a playoff win.? Do the Steelers say "Thanks for the great season but we're going with Kenny next year?"

    Christian Kirk reset the market.
