He shouldn't, he won't be able to throw the ball with the distance and velocity he needs to. Just like last night.

it kind of makes you wonder why Batch didnt get in. i have no theory, but it was obvious from my couch that Lefty had a rib issue. i even told my wife i bet his ribs are broken. how can i see that, yet the trainers never went near him?

ok i have a theory. the coaching staff told the trainers not to go near Lefty so no one including the Ravens would think Lefty was really hurt because Batch is wasting a roster spot because of our loyalties and he has absolutely no shot at playing.

Trainers did look him over. They don't have an X-Ray or MRI on the sidelines, there is no way to know if his ribs were broken or not. Lefty was simply playing tough guy, but I'm a Tomlin supporter, but he needed to see that his QB was struggling with an injury. Even if he was playing tough guy, it was affecting his play. Charlie should have come in, and it's Tomlin's fault for not making the decesion.

Ben basically played with a cast on his foot last season. Hurt QBs don't get pulled here I guess.

Not true. I saw two different times when Steeler personel were looking him over. Now the announcers said they were'nt looking at him at some point, but we all know they don't know jack.

What's even more puzzling is he supposedly broke those two ribs not on the vicious sack he took from the Ravens corner but from the 1st drive when he scampered to the end zone, tripped over a blade of grass and tumbled forgetting how to tuck n roll. I've always said the Byron was the most fragile backup I've ever seen (isn't this the 2nd or 3rd occasion where the guy got hurt in the 1st game as a backup to Ben? Well guys you wanted Charlie and now you got him lol. I hope they don't retain Byron next year cause he is Mr infirmary, nice guy and all but jeez.

All I know is that is one tough SOB. I cracked two ribs years ago and let me tell you it is ridiculously painful. Everything move you make causes significant pain.
