This guy must be a real knucklehead, for the team to be trying to trade him after just one year.

Hmmm. I wasn't really High on Him coming out, but that means nothing. He was always injured in Florida, and was even suspended by the Gators if I remember correctly.

It's interesting you say that. I just did a mock draft sim and Kayvon Thibodeaux fell to 20. If something like like that happens, how do you not take him?

I want no parts of this kid. The fact that the Giants already want out says it all.

2 QBs will be taken by 1:20, forget about the Jordan Davis talk, forget about the CB and S talk, they are going QB at 1:20

Funny from Asked and Answered. Rudolph vs Picket.
Rudolph had a higher completion percentage (63.2-62.4), more passing yards (13,618-12,303), more touchdowns (92-81), and fewer interceptions (26-32) than Kenny Pickett while playing 10 fewer games.

Crazy that Picket would have been drafted after Rudolph if they came out in the same year, and we are talking about taking him at #20.

I don’t think Pickett would have been drafted after Rudolph. Pickett makes far more NFL throws on film than Rudolph ever made in college (or the NFL) and is more athletic to boot. If stats mattered that much Bailey Zappe would be the #1 overall pick.

This logic implies Timmy Chang would’ve been the #1 overall pick. People are far too obsessed with stats. What did Lee Flowers say before? Paper champions?

This is more my hope than belief. I think Corral is the best Steelers fit. Once Willis is gone. Which he would be.

But I expect all 3 to be gone by 20.

You know it. I reckon a Combo Guard, an edge rusher and a TE will be the 3 picks. Lol

I think WR is going to start to get to that level. Yearly 1 to 2 Qbs usually stand out, in rare years more of course, but the success rate is still limited long term. With WR commanding more cap and even number 2 WR getting 18 to 20 million range teams are going to seek and possibly reach to find a cheaper/ yet productive replacement easier. Just musing, but recently the draft has produced at least 5 and possibly up to 10 very decent prospects. Not all are game changers of course, but the success rate I think is higher for WR right now than ever before. Easier to make the transition and a lot more pro ready.

    Another bold draft prediction:

Marcus Jones is a Steeler if he’s still available at pick #84

Trade up to draft him. It seems like most of those that wait and wait turn out to be pretty good.

We have PLENTY of needs, so I'll try not to overreact.

I'd be most thrilled if we got Jordan Davis.

We have huge need at OT, DL, Outside rushing LB (make Highsmith a backup), CB (perpetual), ILB and C. I don't think this Vikings FA C/G signing is very good. It might be an upgrade from Green, but still well below average (this FA is somewhat slow and not powerful enough or good enough footwork to make him anything more that slightly below average). I do like the Bears FA G/C though. That is a clear upgrade, but we really only upgraded ONE OL position, on an OL with 5 below average starters.

Personally, unless a stud CB/S/WR falls down to 20, I am hoping either OL or DL.

Marcus Jones in the 3rd would be great.

    Matt Corral at #20

Trade up with Rats at 14 for Malik Willis. If they want him and he’s still there at 14 they can’t expect him to get past the Saints twice and Eagles twice to reach 20.

Hamilton falls to 20 because too much being made of his speed. I’d jump all over that.

I read earlier where teams are more interisted in moving back rather than trading up.. So if the Steelers really wanted to trade up for MW:puking2: they shoudnt havr a problem finding a trade parner.. and it might not cost as much
