    Batch or Leftwich?

    I'm saying Charlie.

Leftwich shouldn't have even finished the last game. Opening drive was great gifted by a PI call. After that the offense sputtered and obviously Byron was hurting.

It doesn't realy matter who the QB is this week, The way i look at it with our record against the Browns, the Steelers will over look them and we will be in a dog fight ...Hopefully we will pull a win out .

David Garrard. LOL. But I would like to see Charlie come in and play. But in his presser last night Tomlin said he wasn't even CLOSE to putting in Batch.

I am willing to stick it out with #4 we almost won so we should handle the browns pretty easily

Someone healthy would be a good place to start.

I have no idea how severe Leftwich's rib injury is ...it didnt look good. I would say Batch, but if Lefty is healthy, he will start.

they better not overlook the Browns. they have been playing much better lately. they took it to the Cowboys yesterday and should have won.

this is no cake walk game. if they hope to remain in the hunt this is a must win. if Ben isnt back for the next Ravens game then it will be a tough game to win again. they have to be 7-4 going into that game.

Baltimore plays the Chargers. we want the Chargers to win, but if the Steelers lose against the Browns the Chargers will be only 1 game back with a win.

Really? Lefty is doubtful, Ben is doubtful.

So instead of going with Charlie they say their testing out QBs?

    Really?

I get that but I take it the starter hasn't been named.

Doesn't Charlie deserve the starting position since he's the "Next man up"?

I'm assuming this is going to be some sort of practice squad or free agent flunky there just to fill the sideline as a body.

Right - they would need someone to come in and run actual plays in the event that even Batch goes down. I'm sure they're not auditioning QBs to come in and start on Sunday. Who knows, though? Stranger things have happened.

The Browns have a solid team despite their record (and their share of unluck this year). They are probably the best bottom seed team in the league. It'll be a dog fight because of that and its a division game.

I don't think that is a bad idea (Garrard)

and that's come back to my question how do you keep two back up qb that are unable to survive a half of a game in the nfl ?

I don't know about you guys but I think this is the week to turn over to the run game and have Charlie or whoever manage.
At least until we can get some people out of the newly founded Steeler Wing. :dizzy:

If Leftwich is out, Batch is next man up, I don't care who they bring in, Batch knows the offense better than any outsider. But why isn't Jerod Johnson being metioned at all, he was here in the pre-season, why bring in an outsider?

I'm thinking they bring Johnson back in. Another possible candidate who might be mentioned is...Tyler Palko. He's familiar with Haley's system.

Had the same thought but my guess is, he's not nearly as good as some made him out to be, in fact, given that he was here in camp and assuming they don't bring him in, I'd say that means he pretty much sucks.

Well it should have been IMO.

The powers that be apparently disagreed.
